I read somewhere before that the warriors from a couple of years ago had to operate under a reduced salary cap after they were busted for rorting the cap. Not sure by how much or for how long.

"The Warriors were the most recent violators of the salary cap, starting the 2006 season with a four-point deficit and having to operate under a reduced salary cap, as well as pay a $430,000 fine."

Wonder what effect this could have on the next TV deal, certainly won't be a positive one.

Unless this is a case of any publicity being good publicity. Cause I'm sure it will get a lot of coverage.

That is what the NRL already had on their site before this....

There's nothing good that can come of this. My only redeeming thought was that it might rally the fans and really get the siege mentatlity going down there, but if their own fans are spitting on the club... there's nothing good that can come of this.

The club has pushed the boundaries of the rules (on and off the field) since day one, and they finally get there comeupance for it.

Careful. Many many people say the same about the Broncos and await the day supposed rorts by our club are exposed.

I don't think there are any, but honestly, with this kind of shit going on you have to wonder about every other club these days. Well, except Souths. They're shit.

But seriously I don't think we have any concerns now. Bruno isn't smart enough to rort the salary cap.

Bellamy just claimed he knew nothing.....BS!

It appears as if the board deceived everyone

Not even the board. Remember, the board is controlled by News Limited, who are part owners in the NRL.

This was completely middle management/CEO level, even the board was kept in the dark apparently.

Do you think they'll start looking into other News Limited owned clubs more now????
