the biggest winners out of this will be the broncos because now the records will state the best club of the 90's is the BRONCOS

Izzy to return to Melbourne to put things right?
Imagine a 2011 Broncos v Storm GF - the drama

QUEENSLANDER said:What does this mean for the players next year? Say inglis is after $400 k, not many clubs would have that money available for next year. I can see union moving in here to try and get players like slater, inglis and smith

Maybe now we're even an independent commission can be formed, move the Storm to Central Coast, up the salary cap and hope the NRL never tries expansion into Melbourne ever again
Coxy said:I actually agree with AP. I don't think the premierships and minor premierships should've been stripped. Prizemoney paid back, sure, but unless there's hard evidence the players were explicitly aware of the scam then they should have no blame apportioned to them.
And to be told your achievements as a sportsman for the last 4 years are null and void is way worse than any financial punishment you could give them.
I feel sorry for the players. I really do.

thats so silly man. We should still persist with Melbourne.
you dont get it.The Rock said:[
I see what you're saying, it's harsh on the PLAYERS who "didn't know about it" BUT, fact remains that all those good players in the team that helped win the premierships may have not been there in the first place, thus the team may not have gone as well.
EXACTLY the same as the Dogs in 2002. IMO, that team that won the premiership in 2004 wouldn't have been there if they didn't breach the cap! They had so many good players, massive names all over the park - They would have had half of them in 2004 of they didn't breach the cap and thus, probably woukldn't have won the comp with half of their stars.
That's what Im saying.
