That was the biggest rort in Origin history

Clearly you havent been reading my posts then, coz I have mentioned numerous times how bad taylor was and how he is obviously overawed.
So why wanting to drop Gillett ahead of him?
At least Coxy has a valid reason in not weakening the Broncos any further...

Taylor is a mystery to me. He's 115kg, lightning quick, huge, strong as an ox...and yet he plays like a ****ing girl.

Because at their best, if qld can get the best from them, taylor is a far better player at this stage in his career. pure and simple, if both played to the best of their ability taylor is better. i dont think we can carry them both so i would drop gillet and bring in teo

yeh its amazing isnt it. i cannot shake the look he had on his face when luke o'donnell had him by the jersey a few years back. he looked like he was so scared he might shit himself.

Yep. It's all well and good that he's a big softy off the field. But on the field, use your frame, use your power, he'd be a machine!

Yep. Fact is Cronk and Thurston have let us down so far this series. Gee we're missing Locky. Which is so funny considering certain people on BHQ were calling for his sacking a couple of years back...

Ill be the first to admit here that we missed locky's composure last night. having said that, we also missed having a 6 year combination. i think its more that cronk and thurston havent got that combo right yet, as opposed to them not being as good as lockyer.

I totally disagree with that. Gillett at his best is as good as Taylor. He may not be as powerful, but he is much faster and agile. The only thing Taylor has over Gillett is the fact he can run and trample little men better...

Taylor IS in career best form, and still dishes out total crap in the Origin arena. Gillett admittedly hasn't done better, but he is also nowhere near career best form. In fact his form has been pretty ordinary of late.

Agree to disagree i guess in regards to which is better to keep out of taylor and gillet. either way, both are greatly out of form

Which is fine, but you can't deny Taylor has been in great form in the NRL comp.

Definitely, which is my main reason to keep him over gillet. just because we know he is capable of so much more! its so frustrating lol

Well yes, but don't forget we won the 2008 series without Lockyer, having to rely on a Prince-Thurston combination.
I certainly don't think the "new combination" excuse can survive a 3rd poor game.

no, i dont either. they need to sort this out. i think we looked better when cronk took control. i think thats how we have to go forward

Agree. Need Cronk and Smith to put their Storm hats on and control the ruck and the go forward. They have better forwards at their disposal than they do at the Storm so there's no excuse not to be able to do it. Not that our go forward has been bad in games 1 and 2.

The most alarming thing for me is the number of times Cronk had to rush his kicks. That's just poor positioning.

Or the amount of times thurston got it on 5th and either got tackled or had to pass to someone else. Disagree that our go forward hasnt been bad tho. In game 1 it was dreadful. I think we averaged 30m a set. Last night our first half wasnt too bad, but wasnt good. 2nd half go forward was much, much better tho, especially when shillington and scott were on

He's not being played how he should be played. He should be running very wide. Not directly up the middle of the pack.

He's big enough to be one of the best props in the NRL. The fact that he's too precious to run directly up the middle says exactly how soft he is.
