LOL 450 runs in a series 2nd only to Strauss who got 470... Haters gonna hate.....

His last 13 innings see him scoring at an average of 46. Had a poor series in India, many good batsmen have had bad series in India.

He did get a free ride into the team early on but his place in the team surely can't be in question over the last 4 years. You can question his captaincy credentials though.

Whenever he has a poor innings people tend to come up with all sorts of excuses as to why rather then just acknowledging he wasn't playing well.

Compare that to somebody they don't like (Ponting or even Haydos back in the day) and it's quite alarming.

I also look at Clarke's highest score. 168. For a top 4 batsman that shows he's not capable of going on with it.

I don't think that really matters but I think he is a better 5 than 4 that is for sure.. Only moved to 4 because Hussey had been so pathetic for so long. Clarke has been poor ever since moving to number 4 I think he averages under 20.
