Khawaja had the best approach of all the batsmen by miles. His total was nothing spectacular, but if some of the much more experienced batsmen (ie. the hopelessly out of form Captain) applied themselves in similar fashion, they would have likely got us in a much better position than we are in now.

His innings, in just about all areas, was highly impressive for a debutant in a pressure situation - imagine what he'll do when things go his way. He'll have plenty of ups and downs early in his Test career, but I'm glad we've finally got an excellent replacement in this batting order. We need to find a few more over the next 12 months.

Coxy is seldom right but never wrong.

All forums need a Coxy - it is such a blokeish name for an articulate and 'on the money' contributor.
Anyway, we need a calming, logical, voice of reason type like Coxy, even if we want to argue with him and catch him out with a careless spelling error.

I have criticised him and taken him to task in the past, but I did it with style, intelligence and good grammar/ punctuation.

The whole setup is a disaster, coaches and selectors need to go. The clown who offered Nielsen a 3 year contract extension needs to go. 20/20 cricket has stuffed with the minds of the Aussies. We need to develop the youngsters we have go better by having a better shield competition instead of focusing on big bash.

Agreed (for a change). Seems Australia is going to reduce the size of the shield comp in the next few years. That's only going to make the situation worse IMO.
