The Ashes 2013/14

Outstanding performance completed with a crushing win that is our biggest win in an Ashes test by runs margin since 2002-03 which was ironically at the Gabba.

Hard to believe that we were in dire straights in the first innings but a match saving stand between Johnson and Haddin saved us from disaster and the bowlers did their part in giving us complete control. We were never in trouble after that.

Outstanding win everybody did their part exceptionally well. Johnson MOM well deserved mate (I voted for him on the viewers verdict)

My god the poms are whingers. "Wahhhh they sledges is to hard"
"Mummm Michael said a swear"
"Wahhh the media ran a campaign against us"

That dipshit KP rides into town, insults an entire city and then the cry because the brisbane media didn't bend over and ask them to go harder? Please.

Talk is cheap .... actions speak much louder.

Suck it up Poms...you were thoroughly outplayed !

Brilliant. Anderson is the first to sledge when he bowls but can't handle it when our boys give it to him.

great win but our players / media seriously need to dial down the jive talking ... Some of the stuff that's been written and said about certain England players during and after this first test has been ridiculous .. Graeme Swann, Ian Bell, Jonathon Trott, these guys are proven world class players who are all capable of tearing our hearts out on any given day .. yet people seem to think that a couple of bad days for these guys in brisbane has cast the dye for their entire ashes series ... All we seem to want to do is give these pricks more motivation to hurt us ..

Our players need to be a bit careful in front of the cameras because when I last checked there were four tests to go and the Ashes weren't ours yet.

We just need to be a bit smart about this .... until the Ashes are ours again, then we can call these fuckers every name under the sun !!

Yeah, let's get a bit of perspective. Next test is at Adelaide, which is a road of a pitch - will be much harder to rip the Poms out, and will put more pressure on our misfiring top/middle order to actually make runs.

It's a brilliant start, no question, but let's not get ahead of ourselves!

As for Clarke being fined 20% of his match fee for that sledge on Anderson, what a fucking joke.

Yeah that's all well and good but there is nothing wrong with enjoying a huge win against the Poms. It's been a long time since we've had a win like that. Adelaide will be tough. I'll be stoked with a draw in Adelaide.

That's ridiculous to get a fine for that. They are ruining cricket

At work so I'm scared to play the vid with sound, what was the sledge?

Haha you would think it was that with the way they are carrying on.

What Clarke said was "get ready for a broken fucking arm"

Oh no he said a swear mummmmmmmm!

Definitely enough of an anomaly of a game to strike it out as an outlier.

Great for Australian supporters that we got the Game in the bag, but all the hyperbole is a bit like after a NSW SOO win.

Jonathan Trott has pulled out of the tour due to a stress related illness.

He's been diagnosed with droppedforpoorformitis. It's highly contagious and there is concern that prior is already infected

It's not boding well for England this tour is it. I guess Ballance the Zimbabwean comis in for the international flavour to continue. Gives Carberry a reprieve I guess and makes us look even better against an inexperienced batting line up if Cook, Pietersen and Bell don't fire.

For sure. but some of the journos (Hi Ben Dorries) have been ridiculous.
