I honestly cannot believe there is even suggestions of moving hunt to hooker for any amount of time. I just, I don't get it.
It's really not about shoving Hunt out of the halves, as much as getting someone to give us more spark from dummy half and capable of playing the position well, albeit under the premise that we wouldn't lose much, if anything, from having Taylor and Milford at 5/8, with the added value of introducing young Ash to first grade gradually.I honestly cannot believe there is even suggestions of moving hunt to hooker for any amount of time. You're right, but you can and should be bigger than this mate. When Griffin named Thaiday at prop there were calls from him to be strung up ... Now Bennett has named him at prop and people are ok with the decision.
But i have to say I'm not surprised.
I assume you are not happy with McCullough in the 9 ? Although I don't think he's a superstar we were poorer when he went off and better when he came back into the game when we played the Warriors. I don't disagree Porthoz with you, we should never stop thinking of ways to improve and being complacent or satisfied with our spine is a worrying sign. I doubt WB thinks of much else ( the team ) and looks to improve at all times. I also agree that losing talented youngsters is not ideal. It's true too that we as supporters are entitled to vent and agitate for change and the coach does not always know best, a wonderful example is Hoffman at 5/8 so I think we are all entitled to an opinion. It's really not about shoving Hunt out of the halves, as much as getting someone to give us more spark from dummy half and capable of playing the position well, albeit under the premise that we wouldn't lose much, if anything, from having Taylor and Milford at 5/8, with the added value of introducing young Ash to first grade gradually.
If it works well, we would get an even better spine, if it doesn't... no biggie and back to the drawing board.

These posts only serve to draw out arguments...
I have no problem with that at all, and it is most likely what will end up happening anyway.I assume you are not happy with McCullough in the 9 ? I just don't think now is the time to want change, I believe we are better off giving this combo a chance. So far they have given no one a reason to say they have been poor and being young men, growing stronger by the outing seems more likely to yield results than throwing in unproven youngsters and pushing Milford to fullback. I think Boyd will add to the team and see no reason why by seasons end ,that we could'nt be a shot at the title. I say let Boyd do his thing, if it's no good then time to try him on the wing and give Milford the fullback role. Who plays 5/8 then....maybe you have a view on that, I wouldn't know who to give that vital job.
Looks like WB wants Milford to run the ball more. Couldn't agree any more if I tried!

Yes, that is the most likely outcome (unfortunately re Hodgo). If Kahu keeps improving at his current rate he may retain the job. I do not believe WB is as stubborn as he is often portrayed and I have faith that he will make good decisions regarding the teams makeup. For me though, moving Hunt away from a position he has finally made his own is extremely unlikely. I could see Milford and Boyd swapping roles but what's more likely is Boyd taking Kahu's place. I also suspect Hodges will miss a fair chunk of the season, perhaps unfairly I suppose but he is somewhat fragile. His next major injury would likely see him retire and maybe Kahu will take his slot should that misfortune befall him.
Ultimately Porthoz we all want what's best for the team and everyone is entitled to have a say, no matter how idiotic it may sound to each of us at times. That does not mean what you have suggested is idiotic! I mean that as a generalisation.

And no, I don't expect to see Hunt moved to hooker, especially when there are more urgent matters to fix first, including getting a semblance of a routine in the team without chopping and changing the key pieces around continuously.
And your second paragraph is exactly what I want to see happening.
Argue the merits of the poster's opinion, or stay out of it if it's too idiotic for you. This is not directed at anyone in particular, but we could do with so much less passive-aggressive attitude, sarcasm and downright insulting undertones.
If even you and I can speak in civil way to each other, surely there is hope for the rest of BHQ?

JOE Ofahengaue will head back to the Under 20s after a three-week stint in NRL First-Grade.
Under 20s Coach Craig Hodges today named the big young gun Ofahengaue in his front row for Friday's National Youth Competition match against the Gold Coast Titans.
His return from the top grade is timely as a perfect replacement for prop Tim Wolens, who is out of the match with concussion.
In a backline reshuffle, the talented Jayden Nikorima will move from centre to five-eighth.
He replaces Jacob Gagai, who has been assigned to the State League Club the Central Capras.
Jarryd Dodd moves from the wing to the centres, with Jonus Pearson to slot onto the flank.
Coach Craig Hodges said his team was in for a tough assignment after the young Broncos had their unbeaten start to the season smashed by the Warriors in Auckland last Sunday.
"Jayden has played in the halves for us before so he will be fine there," said Hodges.
My thoughts exactly...I understand that offa needs more mins every now and then, but is that not what he would be getting this week with Blair out?
I would of loved to see the kid start tbh, but obviously not going to happen so at least have him play more minutes in prop and share the role with thaiday. I don't understand this change.
