Third Party Agreements

It would definitely make for an interesting comparison. Mostly come down to personal preference but the side will be something like:

1. Boyd (Broncos win hands down)
2. Oates (Broncos win hands down)
3. Croker (Raiders win purely due to needing a goal kicker)
4. Leilua (Raiders win hands down)
5. Rapana (Raiders win comfortably)
6. Milford (Broncos win)
7. Hunt (Broncos win)
8. Blair (Broncos win)
9. Hodgson (Raiders win)
10. Boyd (Raiders win)
11. Papalii (Raiders win)
12. Gillett (Broncos win)
13. McGuire (Broncos win)

14. Ese'ese (Broncos win)
15. Pangai Jr (Broncos win)
16. Tapine (Raiders win)
17. Paulo (Raiders win)

9-8 Broncos but most of that is very subjective. Comes down to the guys in second place and with admitted bias, I think we're stronger, just.
In the backline it tends to be who you match up on who.

Arguably if you put oates against rapana... we would take every skin.

In the forwards. same thing.

Paulo knocks off blair..

If you match up gillett with papalii, papalii eats him, put whitehead against thaiday, whitehead wins.

On the bench you want one utility which would go to baptiste, maybe ese'ese and pangai get a spot over big dave taylor as he is in and out of the raiders side (which is more then tpj achieved). Other spots go to soliola and tapine.

Thus canberra could win easily, but you have put ur best winger on our weakest. Best second rower against our weakest. You gave croker the skin which I agree with but not on goal kicking, even when croker was shit he always owned roberts.

Blair doesnt even belong there over boyd or paulo and lol at sims being anywhere near anything.

I could go into more detail but I think the strength you have at fullback halves, is not greater then where we are ahead of you guys in the forwards and in the outside backs... and tbh the benches are about even but yours doesnt feel as weak because your starting pack is significately lighter then ours.

As for the 13-12 win, well done, you played tough for the entire 80 u blokes deserved it.

But we did have a few factors against us that we wont always have.
- away
- 5 day turnaround against the broncos usual 7
- broncos are a bit of bogey team for us as they love getting into a grind, and we have major mental weaknesses in our players that sometimes they just do stupid shit when the going gets tough, but I am sure that will improve as they get more experience.
- Look at the quality of the tries scored. The mcclulloch try, was soft garbage from us, that we have let happen in three games straight, one would hope that would be fixed soon enough and we all know that middle spacing can be fixed easy enough, the broncos are especially good at it.
- the boyd try, I turned the game off at this point, it was too painful watching the exact same play / def read mistakes made from last year where we got beaten on this.
- whereas both our werent due to fucking woeful / fixable defence but good attack.

We get our shit together and we win. Your highest cap is only high if boyd/milf have a field day.

Eitherway, I think you have a strong team and will be playing finals footy with us, but I just think if both sides play to there absolute peak we have more.

i would of thought the opposite tbh. i think if both teams at absolute peak and play to potental broncos win hands down. differance is we play kinda a more safe some say boring game atm. while u guys are erratic as ****.

your great when your on and just newcasle level of shit house when your off.

but i think if both teams were at there peak we would win just because the ceiling of so many of our players is huge if we play with confidence and gel as a team.

but you know surprise surprise, 2 differant fans from 2 different teams have completely different views. i wonder why that is.............:dealwithit:

It's an echo chamber when it comes to your opinions on the Broncos, that is a fact. Another fact is that it bans people who are not Raiders fans just for saying that they're not Raiders fans.

The club can't guarantee TPA's. Both Bird and Milford came here for the money they were offered and would have to organize their own third party agreements. That's how they work. But if you want to talk conspiracies I can lead you towards the Donald Trump thread. Nobody is denying that players have a better chance of getting TPAs here, but they are organized themselves.

I guess it's just more fun to blame the other clubs for having advantages instead of admitting that your team is just kinda shit. But you'll always have offseasons to talk about your premiership chances, right?

PS. Our 17 beat your superior 17 like 3 weeks ago
TBH as a raiders fan, I have not had issues with the mods, but that would go to the point you are making. Only to say that if you posted on there with your opinion I would address your opinion and not send you as I am not a mod.

If it makes you feel any better I am not in the homer crowd at the raiders.

As I have already mentioned, I do not think my team is shit this year, I think we are a decent chance, as good a chance as we have been for ages. But you guys just signed jack bird for more money then cronulla offered him. Of course I am going to comment on same and point out the hypocricy and all blind ignorant homerism of the special children who thought he signed on to the broncos because he wanted to move away from home for less money and a less chance at a premiership.

You guys got him, you paid for him. Same as what we did with a lot of our players and all clubs do with all players.

Teams success nowadays relies on (amongst a whole host of other things):-
1 Individuals ability to play well and consistently - see tigers.
2 Coaches ability to coach to teams strengths and not just copy cat.
3 Team list - ability to sign talent
4 Ability to spot good fits, good value players who dont fit in current system.

The broncos and other clubs have a big legal advantage under point 3. But try to pretend its point 4 / or some mythical bennet factor. The broncos have never needed to worry about getting value, why would they shop at aldi when they are rupert murdoch of the rugby league world.

I am not saying it is illegal or cheating it is not. But dont try and bullshit me or yourselves its pathetic.

LOL I hear you.

But what we need to fix, is our defence / spacing / mental attitude easier fixes, then the possession will come and points will flow as we have the talent.

The broncos players who have a higher ceiling then where they are playing is:-
- hunt - although he is maligned unfairly on here, he has a great dummy and go that he seems to have put away. But since the broncos bar last week dont move the ball much, I suppose hunt probably feels the outside backs do need some good decent ball.
- milford - obviously when he is on very dangerous.
- boyd - Look I have just put him down as he is a gun, but imo he has been consistently very good and at his ceiling since being at the broncos.

Still peddling this nonsense? When we get caught for 'cheating' the salary cap, then you can i told you so, until then f*ck off with your 'tpps' and conspiracy theory garbage.

Players do actually want to play for Bennett and for top teams. It is a fact. Some we pay well, others we pay less, like any other team in the comp.

Show me one concrete piece of evidence where we have breached the top tier salary cap. Or bugger off. Could be we are amazingly taltented at cheating the cap, whereas all the teams that have been caught aren't, but one would think that with all the turnover of staff we have had at our club, including CEO's and head coaches, our secret and amazing salary cap breaching abilities would have been outed by now, and yet year after year, we aren't breached...

PS, for the record, I think our squad is stronger than Canberra's and the results 2 weeks ago bore that out.

PPS, and as for respective fans of clubs and games? At least people aren't banned on this forum for venturing an opinion outside the herd- mind at the GH...
This is the sort of post, which really, just lacks basic comprenhension.

I have repeatedly said its within the rules and not cheating.

But an advantage is an advantage, you cant hide from it, embrace it!

But dont pretend it is not there.

The raiders imo have the advantage like the patriots that there should be less distractions and easier to keep the boys minds on family and footy. They should and hopefully do embrace that.

All clubs have advantages, the broncos clearly more then most, for whatever reaasons broncos fans cant seem to accept this.

i tend to disagree here on the third party stuff. it would take all of 5 minutes for wayne or one of the corporate big swingers to make some calls or line a few things up. his lack of profile may limit tv ad's etc in the short term but that wouldnt stop a corporate or business stumping up some contract loot to sweeten the deal even though he may never even set foot in that business doors at all. half his luck i say.
as for lack of profile, he would be trending like mad on all media platforms at the moment so without pulling on a jumper yet i would suggest he is already top 5 bronco recognised and the broncos marketing team would be doing cartwheels and as would birds manager! he will probably be on a first class flight to the amalfi coast with all the publicity.
google one of haynes third party deals.

what i wouild say to papabear is. if bennett really did not have any pulling power with players and its all about the money, then why did no players want to come here during the henjak and griffin years. (except milford).

during those times there were heaps of articles of big name players rejecting us because of our coaches.

if money is the only factor like ur saying then why did our secret multi billion dollar endless cash flow we give players under the carpet to play suddenly dry up for those season?

i have no doubt broncos have benefits no other team has that can lure players. i just dont think those benefits are the millions of dollars other fans say we pay under the table

No money isnt the only factor.

Bennett does have pulling power, as does other coaches and even JT and Cam Smith would.

But when it comes to the money, you guys are way out ahead.

That is hilarious. Thaiday, Gillett, Blair all Origin / international reps and have been over many years, but are clearly out- matched by the forwards you named (Papalli aside) who have never played a single rep game... Lol

Oh, wait. Of course! It's so simple. The TPP's are that Broncos players get to play rep football because of the thoroughbreds! Lol

No wonder Bird came, because it's not as if he is already an origin player or anything...

So tell us what they are then. Should be easy seeing as though it is 'so' well known...
Thats one issue I have with TPAs that although they are registered with the NRL they are not published.

They could be published and we wouldnt be here talking but google jarryd haynes one if you want an example.

blair has played for nz as has soliola.

But if you honestly believe blair is better then paulo and boyd good on you.

Thaiday was an absolute weapon 5 years ago but right now... I dont know, personally I thought parker was ahead of him last year well ahead and even he thought his time was done.

But continue your wankery and leaps of logic if you need to.

??

I didnt know I was arguing with him.

And if he knows stuff good on him (or if you think he does), that doesnt help YOU though.

That said, you guys need an organising half. I am not sure Milf and Bird really work together.
