RABBLE RABBLE Tigers Robbery - Refereeing Farce

won't comment on whether Butler or Klein will be dropped

asking how there could possibly be any conspiracy going on because of how scrutinised the refs are

Annersley now tripping over his own earlier statements

well i've reached my bullshit limit for the week ...

p.s. didn't talk about any other incident from the week end. just this one

So based on that BS explanation from GA you can challenge anything that happens between the previous play the ball, up to the stoppage, so how come when teams are deliberately giving away penalties to create a stoppage, they are then not allowed to challenge it?

Sorry, I will correct myself, why are some teams, allowed to challenge in that situation, while others are told they cannot? There have been numerous times were Munster has deliberately held down a player to force a stoppage in play, only to then challenge something that happened moments earlier. But then when Reynolds does this same thing, he gets told he can't do that?

Even ignoring the fact about whether a "short whistle" is considered and eligible stoppage in play when a challenge can be made. That will continued to be argued.

How can klein (apparently the best ref in the game) get that call wrong when 95% of independent parties (including annersley) would say it was not a penalty? It was not a heat of the moment call, difficult angle or call made under fatigue which the on field ref may experience. He was in the bunker had multiple angles, plenty of times to replay it and still fucked it up. The incompetence is astounding.

North Queensland boss Jeff Reibel says:

“If they are going to look to overturn something on one decision, doesn’t that open a Pandora’s box,” Reibel said.

“Where do you start and stop? My understanding is that we won the game. I understand that the opposition would want some explanation for why those decisions were made.

“As far as we’re concerned we won the game within the rules. Do you want to go back to 2013 when we lost a final because Manly knocked on and it wasn’t picked up, or Cronulla scored a try on the seventh tackle?

“We have been on the other end of it. We won that game fair and square.”

Agree. Plus, aren't there multiple decision makers in the bunker? Why didn't one of them pull Klein up and tell him he was incorrect?

Yep Munster did it one week and everyone said what high IQ footy it was. Turpin did it a week later, got sent to the bin for a professional foul and reynolds told we could not challenge it.

Haha exactly. There have been many instances where this has happened too. It happened in the Knights vs Roosters game too I think. Brailey tried to give away a penalty, and he wasn't allowed to challenge. But then there have been many instances where it has been allowed.

I don't think so any more
There needs to be one constant person in the bunker everytime then. Maybe the referees coach or whatever Maxwell is needs to be present each time, and he should overrule BS decisions like the obstruction ruling.

You're debating the incident which shouldn't even be up for debate as they had no right to challenge to begin with. Under the rules of when a team can and cannot challenge, they had no right to challenge.
Dude. They got it wrong.

They got it wrong in multiple different ways.

Pick a different hill to die on, because this one isn't it.
Annesley said they had a right to challenge, but disagreed with the decision. Me, I don't care. The whinging about refereering goes on after every game. It's weak as piss. You suck it up. You move on.

Absolute disgrace of a showing from Annesley. It was nothing but damage control and bullshit talking points, and not even an apology for the Tigers for the escort call they admitted was wrong....

These clowns need to go. They are doing immeasurable harm to the game.
