Time for a new coach. . .

Oh....Gday Coxy. You must be mistaken. Talking to someone else.

I assume you must be referring to lynx then? I apologise.

As you'd know I was always a staunch defender of Bennett.

Dear Ivan,

stop trying to be Wayne. His dumb selections usually didn't work either.

Like it or not, Henjak will be around for at least another year.

Let's hope a bolt of lightning hits him in the meantime and he works out the best possible side to field each week, instead of the crap he's been dishing out lately

I really get the feeling that WB is pulling out all stops to try and win the premiership this year, just so he can stick it up Bruno and the broncs.

that was all I said, I haven't had a go at bennett or called for Ivan to be beheaded. :D

Yes. He has the full support of the board [icon_shady

Which usually means, we will help you pack and organise the removalist :)

Like most ( if not all lol) I'd really love to have been privy to all the 'behind the scenes' talk that happened in recent years ...you know fly on the wall type of thing. My best guess is that a group of somehow disenfranchised powerbrokers have/had finally got the numbers to run things as they saw fit instead of a coach who, while keeping the daily details and administration at arms length, managed to set the tone, the agenda, the profile and the future direction of the club and yet still was free of the clerical/bookwork type of grind. In short. I think some thought WB to be too powerful and unanswerable ultimately.

I think that petty jealousies will be to the detriment of a truly great club.

Which will be an interesting thing for the board if we keep getting flogged by 40 points every game.

To whom are they accountable.

Whoops ... “Accountable†... Wrong club

Actually, I believe the time was completely right for Wayne to go.
The problem was the Broncos, probably through arrogance, just assumed the high profile names bandied about as replacements ( Henry and Bellamy ) would jump at the chance to link with us.
Ivan was a stop gap replacement for an embarrassed club.

Hopefully this year the blinkers are off and the management and players realise they are nothing special anymore and should act and play accordingly.

Like the once great West Indies cricket teams, skill and talent wins for a while, the aura jags a few results and then the penny drops.

The penny has dropped.

Phil Gould is a great coach but he hates the Broncos and I would be afraid he would destroy the club..

Not sure that's true - on the roast he made mention that he wouldn't coach the Broncos because the people up north wouldn't let him do it. Being Gus, he's probably hinting that certain people in the establishment would have to move on.

Gould and Ryan are the best.
The rest are doppelgangers.

I did say this years ago though.
The QLD mentality didn't accept it at the time.

I think some of you folk should spend some time with me and the NIng in the Hunter Valley.
You need to wake up a bit or continue to delude yourselves.

There are lots of magnificent things in NSW.
Especially footy brains.

The QLD mentality is a bit hicksville at times.
Especially the appointing within mentality.

You guys will end up with multile fingers and other assorted body parts.

It might be good for the cricket team though.
Who would pick the flipper?

I'll remind you of that when the noughts appoint a johns douche as coach. :-)

Henjack. Keep him. Get some respected Broncos staff and ex players around him to help.
