Watching the game today, it was a Knights love fest. (OK all their games are a love fest)

I forget who it was, but one of them said near the end of the game.

If you take out the last 5 mins of the first half the Knights would have been competitive.

There were other comments, but I can't remember them.

Also Ennis played all over Buderus, but one nuffy said it was close game between both Hookers.

I missed the start of the replay when I got back from the game, but there was a post on LU saying that in the first 5 minutes Voss said something along the lines of "let's hope the Knights get the ball back soon so we can see some awesome footy".

Seems the love affair with Newcastle from the primary commentator will continue long after Rabs has gone.

I thought the most rude thing was when they went to Joey down on the sideline and the Knights were losing by like 18points or something and all Andrew would muster up and say was.."yeah" when they cut to him. He could atleast try and do his job properly.

Hmm i kinda half watched it, was kind of assignmenting.... I did record it (apart from the first 5 or 10mins, think i started when K got monstered). But will watch it and analyse it properly tomorrow.... i did however notice the amount of Newcastle dribble, as i listened to it. Was pretty annoying. If Kurt Gidley would have sliced the Broncos defence like Karmichael did they woulda been all over him saying how he's the greatest thing ever. If Buderus would have sliced the Broncs defence like Ennis did they would have been saying how he is god's gift.

They were asking him he if were okay and had not been struck by the lightning with his umbrella being up.We were so pleased when he didn't answer cos we thought"YES!" but they asked again and that is when he blurted the yeah out.Very disapppointing. [icon_frown

I was suprised at Voss actually.He was really bad and yeah that comment he made was not on at all about the Knights getting the ball back.

I did think I would smash the tele if they once more carried on about Wes Negama being held back and that stopped the KNIGHTS getting a try.

It's obvious that the Knights are the favourite team of Channel 9. I also believe they love any team playing the Broncos, rarely to we get the raps we so deserve in our games.

But yeah the commentary was ridiculous. At the end of the game my missus asked me if I was upset the Broncos lost. When I told her they won she was like "but they were raving about the other team, I thought the Broncos must've been doing really bad". [icon_lol1.

Frank is sorry, but he disagrees. Take the last 10 mins (not 5 like they said) out of the first half and watch the game and you would've thought the Knights wouldve won easily. They were absolutely carving up the Broncos! The Broncos just completely shut down in the second half [icon_non, and Kurt Gidley was absolutely carving up. Frank is one of the biggest Buderus haters there is, but even Frank will admit that he turned it on there in the second half at least. Sure Ennis still outplayed him, but he played very well.

Why not just take out all the Broncos tries & goals & the Knights would have won.

This is the thing I don't get about people saying "take out that 5 minute period when team X was on fire, and team Y would've won"...why? Because team Y was on fire for 5 minutes at another period of the game?

That's sport. Momentum often ebbs and flows, peaks and troughs. The Knights lost because they made too many mistakes in that first half and allowed the Broncos to capitalise on them. The Broncos returned the favour in the second half in terms of fairly poor ball control, but their defence was more determined.

It certainly wasn't the Broncos' best performance, but they did enough to win, In Oztag it would've been a draw, but thankfully this is rugby league and there's goals involved.

Gotta agree with this. Buderus did play very well, and deserved the wraps they were giving him imo. The Knights looked more threatening for more of the game then the Broncos did also, we are just lucky that we are a team of winners and know how to get the job done.
