RUMOUR TPJ to be sacked

Big news to come out over the next couple days. Seibold to be sacked and TPJ as well.

Every disaster is an opportunity to begin again.

The silver lining of all of this is that we are left with more or less a blank slate to reconstruct our roster correctly and the funds to sign some solid talent.

Clear out all the dead wood and bad seeds, focus on building from inside out... focus on a solid spine and go from there. Not every player has to be a superstar - identify hard working, undervalued players who can do a solid job and build everything back up. Focus on short term contracts in the short term until the RIGHT players become available - this isn't going to be fixed in 1 or 2 offseasons.

If the new brass come in and have a good vision for the club and make some savvy decisions, we can take a big step to constructing a team which is suited to dominate the fast-paced, touch-football-style direction the modern game is heading (instead of being stuck with a side which is ill-suited to this sort of play).

We’re going to need players to get releases. There is no one available that can replace that amount of talent.

We now have a possible pack of Haas, Carrigan, Flegler, Glenn, Kennedy, Joe O, Bullemor, Riki for 2021. When bench forwards are your 4th drop, you’re gonna be in a world of hurt
Last minute 1.5 mil offer to SBW?

TPJ and Fifita aren't dead wood though, they're two of the best second rowers in the comp. A lot of the dead wood is still at the club next year (Milf, Bird, Offa, Oates). Unless the board can pull off a miracle signing in Smith we are absolutely fucked next year.

EDIT: A lot of the players we should target like Ponga have been tied up long term by clubs with switched on board members.

He isn't in the same dimension as TPJ. We don't need a workhorse prop like him on an inflated salary, we need attacking threats.

So we don’t need a current Origin prop who is a noted defender, has good all-round stats and who won’t command huge money?

Okay...

You’re not Peter Nolan, are you?

I wouldn't be surprised if both he & Lodge end up at the Warriors.
