No Farnworth, no Niu?
I know right? I've clearly missed something. With this trial, won't that mean the entire team (likely round 1 candidates) will have all had a run except Nui, Farnworth, and Riki?
Rehab, family matters, niggle?

Other 'definite' locks for round one (eg Hass) are all having a run in these first two trials, why not these three? No biggie, just wondering :)

Another trial yet. The next trial sifts out the likely round 1 candidates.

Channel 9 (Dobbo) news just said that Tesi injured his hamstring this morning and looks like a 4-5 week Injury. The even worse news is that it will be either Issako or Mead that will be our FB until Tesi is right.

If it’s only for a week or two, I don’t mind it. Better to do that than move Cobbo there. Isaako has had some really good games at fullback. I guess we just hope he can string 2 good games together and then Niu is back.

Don't worry, I got Isaako covered.

I would rather see Cobbo given a shot if we see him as a FB longer term. Additionally, I think from a team quality perspective, replacing Cobbo with Oates at wing looks better than Issako at FB.

**** sake... just when we think we're finally done with Isaako starting the season at fullback... he'll be getting set to start the bloody season at fullback 🙄🙄🙄

Badel names Jamayne, Herbie or Selwyn as cover for Tesi. Dobbo says Jamayne or David Mead.

Dave Ballard:

“Tesi sustained a hamstring strain during a drill today and we will wait until it settles overnight before getting it scanned tomorrow at the Clive Berghofer Centre facility. We won’t make a call on the severity of the injury until we have a look at the MRI and see how Tesi pulls up.”

Walters:

“Tesi is another guy who has a huge future. He has only had 10 or 12 games as a fullback and we saw at the back end of last year some of his capabilities at fullback. He finished off there in a strong way so he is the leading candidate for the fullback jumper. He made the position his own at the end of last year. But we are starting from scratch again, so knowing Tesi’s competitive nature, he will be keen to stay there at fullback. He will only get better. He has a lot of skill. Some of the tries he scored last year were excellent and it’s exciting from my point of view as coach to have another season with these young guys. We have to keep improving guys like Tesi.”
