No he doesn't, but current form hasn't always been a factor in previous Origin selections.Boyd doesn’t deserve to play origin with his form lately.

I think Walters would be more likely to select players based on form and positions. If slater is picked for fullback I can't see where Boyd fits into the team.
how about the position where he has scored a record number of origin tries

He's mad if he doesn't pick Oates over Holmes. Need a big body bringing the ball out. His meters are a must for origin.Considering he dropped Oates for holmes last year because he wanted a specialist winger I don't think he'll risk putting an injured fullback who doesn't jump or run fast on the wing this year.

What a pussy... to scared to coach without the worlds best players.Bellamy has stated several times that this will be his last contract and he plans to retire from coaching at the completion of it

I would never publicly admit this because it's like saying you don't mind Manly or Man U but I liked that Redcliffe side. Roberts, Perry, Leis, Bourke, Lindsay and even Barba such a great side to watch.
Bellamy has been saying for years the next contract will be his last one. Just add another zero to the end his contract figure.
I'd rather bring in Bellamy or someone new next time around. Not a huge fan of the 'bring in an assistant to train up' succession plan nonsense.
Nothing wrong with tried and tested, it's only bad if the players are either way over the hill or playing injured.
Yes, because picking a public fight (or admitting to one) with the coach of the biggest Qld club would be terrific for Queensland and its coach. In this thread we've had claim after claim that there was something sinister behind Walters departure and Walter's himself has now put those claims to the sword. He plainly and openly stated that he hadn't fallen out with WB, he wasn't asked to leave, he wasn't blocked in his role as assistant coach, his reasons are unchanged and clearly his communication with WB is and was fine.
So who on here wants to call Walter's a liar ?
Better still, who wants to put their hand up and admit they jumped the gun ?
