You can take that article with an enormous grain of salt, he doesn't even get the name right of the pom we were supposedly after.

His name is Greg Eden..

not taking it seriously jus pointing it out as a massive LOL

So, both of the Bennett beliebers and the Bennett bashers only point to news they want to believe in, and dismiss anything slightly indicating to the contrary. Goebbels would have a field day with some people here!

In the corporate world, some people get where they want by backstabbing and stepping on others, others get it done by hard work and achievement.
Up until very recently, I though WB was in the second group, now I am not so sure...
What I certainly won't do, is drink the WB Koolaid. Wayne only does what's good for Wayne, of that I have no doubt whatsoever!

Having said that, I'm not going to death ride him, as the only thing that really matters to me is the Broncos future, so I wish him all the success and I really hope he won't abandon this club in the same shape as he did the first time, or as he left the Dragons, or as he's leaving the Knights.

I do believe he will get more out of this roster than Hook seems to be able to, and I am hoping he will fix some of the glaring issues in the team, which certainly is not attitude or effort unlike some people are trying to imply, and I hope he makes better use of the talent and speed we can have, by letting players slim down to their best playing weight... the single most cardinal sin of Griffin's era imo.

Although I don't believe Bennettball is any less boring than Griffinball, I do believe Wayne can take better advantage of the talent at hand in Hunt, Milf, Barba, Hodgo, Copley, Gillett, Oates, Kahu, and we might even see Thaiday and Glenn get back to their best.

I am mostly curious about what he will do with the front row. McGuire, Hannant, Kennedy, Garbutt, Molo, Dodds and Wallace is not the worst bunch of players to pick a solid forward pack from, and getting a pack working well is certainly one of WB's strengths.

Making Bennett’s selection jigsaw even more complex is the fact Brisbane have also been negotiating with Hull KR custodian Greg Evans, and poached 20-year-old superstar Anthony Milford from the Raiders on a two-year deal worth $1.5 million.

I wonder if he is bringing Dexter with him?

God damn dogs woke me up so decided to sit back and watch through some old Bennett interviews. Always pretty refreshing to hear what he's got to say and when he actually feels like speaking, he makes a lot of sense. None the less, that's for another thread because I came across something far more interesting...

This is the 2006 Qld Cup Grand Final, pitting a Griffin coached Dolphins side against the old Broncos feeder Toowoomba.

Didn't really know where else to post it but some interesting viewing.

Particularly the Dolphins team. Considering they were missing their star halfback who was busy winning NRL premiership, they did pretty well to beat a talented Toowoomba side, although it's pretty interesting to spot the similarities between the Dolphins and Broncos. Particularly the emphasis on the dummy half, the running halfback and Emmett who I forgot played a very similar style to Reed.

Also interesting to see what depth the Broncos were working with. A few of those players on show would later line up and play fairly big roles in the Broncos 2007 season.

Did you guys notice the sideline celebrations and who Hook's embracing? For some it won't be exactly news, but it caught me off guard, especially given where both were at today.

Oh and for the lols, skip to around the 7th minute mark and watch Dave being Dave.

This article is on the Courier Mail website but written by Josh Massoud of the Daily Telegraph ...

it claims that Boyd is almost certain to be the Broncos fullback in 2015

and Milford's deal has suddenly become 1.5 million over 2 years instead of the reported 450k a year

I stopped reading at josh massaud. And so should any body else with half a brain

You do realise how long ago that is, right?

He's trying to point out that everyone's insistence that 'bennetball' is boring and the same as griffinball isn't true. Judging someone's style of play/game plan doesn't have a statute of limitations

Stress less guys. Boyd won't be at the Broncos next year.

Exactly, Bennett adapts to what the team he's got is capable of, and what the current reffing/speed of the NRL is like.

To those complaining that Barba's overweight and not backing up, and that Glenn/Thaiday/Gillet never run at holes, and that we don't have enough big props, and that we have no gameplan, and random bench usage, etc etc, just wait until next year, I have a good feeling about this team.

Boyd was never going to be at the Broncos.

It's just an easy thing for reporters and posters unhappy with Bennett's return to throw out there.

I don't need to wait until next year. I have a good feeling about this team now, especially that changes have been made, and it would be better still if Copley stays at left centre.

Copley only played at centre because Jack Reed went out for a night on the grog. He's now injured from QLD Cup.

Let's not give the credit to Griffin. He should have done it 10 weeks ago.

I'll believe it when I see him pull on a jersey for a non-bennett coached team, and until then I'll assume he's going to be playing wherever bennett is. I mean the guy confirmed hes leaving newcastle mere minutes after bennett announced he is, it doesnt take a rocket surgeon to see that his preference is to go wherever daddy does.

His preference might be to ride a golden motorcycle and get hourly gobbies from Scarlett Johanson, doesn't mean he's gonna get it

So basically you are going to deathride everything based on what YOU assume will happen... this is going to be a fun few months

why wouldnt he get it? he walked in to the dragons team with bennett, he walked in to the knights team with bennett, he walked out of his knights contract with bennett, and bennett is now coming to Brisbane, where his family live.

i dare say that history is on my side on this one.
