I'd still be taking Pearce over Taylor any day of the week. I dunno about his attitude (it doesn't seem worse than Taylor's these days), but his style of play would have fit in perfectly like a final piece of a puzzle IMO.

Did the Broncs though? (I'm not being sarcastic, genuine question). I thought I read that they were offering Taylor about 500k (again can't remember if I actually read it or just made it up in my own head or even then, if I read it in the media, it was made up in someone else's head anyway) which was less than half what the GC offered him. Again, he was not worth anywhere near a million but did the Broncs really have much to offer given Boyd was still to be re-signed and on big money at that.

Haha, you made that shit up . Pretty sure an amount was ever mentioned.

That’s a little bit different, anyone was better so not much to lose there.
Not anyone unfortunately

The Broncos couldn't really do anything about their two primary targets (Hunt and Taylor) being offered over a mil each, which they're clearly not worth, and decided to roll the dice with Niko while other options such as Boyd and Paix developed. Although the season isn't over - and there are other caveats such as our injury toll, including to a possible half in Bird - it's obvious that that hasn't worked as planned.

Na **** that ! I like dogs

Smith looks pretty badass in that photo. Throwing Kodi like in a kung fu movie.

I'm over the whole manager speculation merry go round. We'll all do better to forget the majority of the half arsed garbage the hacks put out to garner our precious little clicks. No one really knows what goes on behind closed doors at Red Hill. The time for outrage is when it actually eventuates and not before. On another point what was the click bait in the Curious Mail about Bird being keen to return to the paddock today?

firstly, they have dropped his salary back to 800k

secondly, basically saying that he is pain free for the first time in 12 months and could resume training this week, with a view to being considered for selection for the game against the Roosters.

I'll post the article shortly

So by my reckoning he's taken $150K hit :-) Thanks btw.
