I think we should be looking at bringing Taylor in as soon as possible, provided he's as talented as they say he is. He'll be 20 once the season starts next year, if he still "isn't ready" for even a taste, I give up.

Take away Barba's playmaking ability and X-Factor and what is the difference between him and Hoffman? Nothing.

Never seen him play. Which is why I said "provided he's as talented as they say he is". I'm just sure that both Milford and Barba are fullbacks.

I don't mind the idea behind Barba playing Five-Eighth.. but if we want to be a serious premiership contender, we need a genuine half to partner Hunt, imo.

Unless Barba can somehow develop his passing and kicking game majorly in the off-season, I don't see him being the answer.

I agree with this line of thinking but am reminded that Ben fucking Hornby won a premiership as a halfback. I mean, if Bennett can do that with Hornby surely he can with Barba.

I think both Barba and Milford could do really well at five-eight under Bennett.

No? Hoffman runs the ball back and saves tries. That's pretty much his entire game at fullback.

Surely it had to be sarcastic comment? Saying that Barba and Hoffman are the same if you take away x-factor and playmaking from Barba is like saying the Raiders and another team are the same if you take away the other team's x-factor and playmaking.

That isn't per season, starting from last year salaries are referred to as the total over the length of the deal.

Puts the NRL in line with other codes who also do this, I always used to wonder how AFL players were getting paid millions per year but it was just the total of the deal because we're so used to hearing how much NRL players got paid per season.

If that's the case, I'm guessing it'll be a 2 year deal worth $1m, I can't see him taking any less than $500k per season.
