We need a halfback

Thinking of the dearden/sos situation, i have said that i wouldnt mind running them 6 and 7. Reflecting on the sharks game sos appeared more dangerous and made breaks on the leftside (attacking). Does anyone know if this is his "natural" side?

Running dearden on the right and sos on left could be an option.

It's tricky cause to me they both seem like halfbacks but not really 5/8s. I think a cool head, organising half with a good passing game for 7 and a strong running, evasive and with strong 1 on 1 d for 5/8. I wouldn't mind seeing how bird would go beside either of SOS or Deardon but at the moment I'd say give it to SOS to give Deardon a chance to find his voice in qcup.

So when Deardon does come back......its Turpin to 9...or 14? TBH, Segeyaro could do with a few games in the lower grade.
It would be criminal to leave Turpin out of the side completely. We can't have both he and Seggy on the bench. One of them has to go.

McCullough is weakening the team by being there. Seibold has to make that call sooner or later.

The storm will literally try to rip his injured leg off. Leave him another week and the big boys can deal with the dirty grubs.

Wynnum are playing Easts, Tigers will have all Storm guys so he won't escape them.

I feel kind of the opposite funnily enough. Dearden looks a fairly traditional 7, while SOS seemed to be play his excellent half as basically a running 6. They could compliment each other extremely well.

Segy should start at 9, Turpin should be on the bench as a utility. Macca should be fighting for one of the other three bench spots (good luck with that).

But back in the real world, Macca will start at 9, Turpin will be back on the bench, and Segy will be jiggling his nutsack out in the suburbs.

Unless turpin signs elsewhere.

He'd fucking better. Someone else nailed it recently when they said Turps is fast becoming the soul of the team. We CANNOT let him go!!!

But the board and media say that Macca is the heart and soul of the broncos. He might even get a statue one day

Do they though or is that just the consensus on BHQ? He's been slotted back into the team due to injuries and there's every chance he plays ISC next year. Let's try some optimism for a change and back this team to make the finals, even though this year has been abysmal.

My man. Haven’t seen you around in a while. I had a feeling you’d be back once we cracked the top 8. I really want seibold to succeed and I think he will.

I've been around, just liking posts but not commenting. I'm still optimistic for this season but we're on a rebuild so my mind is on 2020.

Baby steps my boy, baby steps...

Just like Segeyaro, maybe we could offer one of these guys a minimum contract as back up to Dearden and SOS. Depth signing as Seibold as been doing so far but with NRL/SL top grade experience. All are halves and off contract at the end of 2019.

Player (age)Current ClubGamesOff contract after
Ben Hampton (27)Cowboys922019
Sam Williams (28)Raiders1302019
Ata Hingano (22)Raiders242019
Josh Drinkwater (27)Hull KR1202019
Jackson Hastings (23)Salford782019
Samisoni Langi (26)Catalans572019

Or we pick up Kieran Foran or Josh Reynolds who are reportedly being shopped around.
Possibly lure Blake Austin back if he is interested.

What why? We have Milf, Dearden and Sos.
Then we have Turps and Seggy.
