NEWS Wests Tigers set to pounce on Broncos star Anthony Milford: Report

Unlike a lot of others on here I NEVER wanted him gone. When we struggled it was seldom due to him being 'off his game'. A 25 year old Wallace would be brilliant for our team cohesion and direction. Whatever plan Seibold had would be followed in full.

seibold had a plan? Source?

Well I mean even if you're only talking about players Seibold brought in to the club you're clearly fibbing by saying "everyone he's signed has been overs", I highly doubt guys like Kennar, Segeyaro & Kennedy were brought here on more than the base salary.. Not sure what we're paying Arthars, but once again, I doubt it's an absurd amount.

How can you possibly make that statement with confidence?

Not sure what agendas you think I have, I assume you're referring to Ben Hunt, but that wasn't really an agenda, he was actually my favourite player up until the 2015 GF, at which I think he become the least favourite player for a lot of people, not just me.

Surprisingly, he hadn't lost me as a result of the GF. It was failing to get over the mental demons and fucking off to another club that made me lose all respect.

I can, because Bennett signed plenty of people on unders while at the Broncos. Using absolutes would be dumb. So far Seibold has signed nobodies and everyone else on overs. Dispute that instead of trying to spin it and cherry pick the few times he didn't sign someone on unders.
I'm spinning it? Ok slick.
Who did Bennett sign from outside the club. First graders? coz that's what we're talking about right?
I'll give you Lazo, Tallis, Wallace maybe. Those first 2 were from a different time really difficult to compare

More about Bennett in what way?
In the way that he left the cap, in the way he's always left the cap. So far we've had to realease the current australian 13 , a SOS centre and 2 kiwi internationals and we still have no cap space because of 2/3 dubious veteran signings. That's on Bennett.

no it’s not

Yeah, get up to speed, we've all decided to blame Louise for that.

Provided every topic doesn't turn into a circle jerk talking about the same shit over and over, I might stick around. Hopefully by then @Nashy has given us the ability to block people again. What penny dropped last time? Boyd and McCullough? Do people still think they were the only problem? Because I never said they were good this year, not fucking once. All I ever said was others were causing problems on the field and deserve some blame as well as requesting that every thread didn't turn into a blame Boyd and Macca thread.
Yeah mate you defended the shit out of both their form this year and everybody knows it, no matter which way you try to spin it. So did a few others, but they had the balls to stick around and own their mistakes. I believe it was the Titans game you fucked off after, wasn't it? The one where Boyd opted to take a knee rather than attempt a tackle?

It made no sense to have Darren Lockyer and Peter Wallace both in the halves. We needed someone like Milford back then..

The broncos board lusted for a player like Milf. (Let’s not forget we let him go to Raiders in order to keep Nikorima). (And hence the dodgy Barba signing prior).

Peter Wallace would have been a great option to partner Milford in the halves.

If we kept Peter Wallace, maybe Hunt would have forced McCullough out of the 9 and we could have kept him too.

I think this spine could have been quite nice.

1. Darius Boyd
6. Anthony Milford
7. Peter Wallace
9. Ben Hunt

And he gave a testicle to the cause. Enough said.

actually made perfect sense

Darren Lockyer is the football god ... all he needed in the halves was someone serviceable.

IMO, the problem with Wallace started in 2012. when we needed him to be the main guy, that's not something he was capable of.

Well, despite people being blindly ignorant to it, its not all Bennett. Why are Locky, Nolan, White and Lanigan getting ignored in it? Its just scapegoating of Bennett imo. No denying he had a hand in it, but its not all in him. Same as the masterstroke of signing Haas on a six year, $3million dollar contract isnt all down to Wayne. Why isnt Bennett getting universal praise on here for that? Easy, because it doesnt suit the agendas. Look at our best players, all bought in on Waynes watch, but it seems some only want to stick the boot in for Macca, Boyd and Milf.

We also didnt have to release Moose, or Kodi, or Kahu. We chose to. Roberts we had no choice, he was an idiot and we were best shot of him.

Our cap management has been flawed. I've been saying it for a while. We dont have the solid, workhorse players to compliment the stars. We got rid of Opacic for example and kept Bird and Roberts instead alongside Kotoni. That hasnt worked out well at all. Tom would have been on about 250k tops. Roberts and Bird over a million between them and i know which one would have been better value for money. I reckon eventually, us trying to have a forward pack loaded with talent is also going to bite us on the backside as it will eat up most of our cap.

I acknowledge there are others in the process, but I'll always give the lion's share of the blame\credit to the headcoach. Every other club does, apart from Roosters who can thank Politis. And yeah as I said earlier today Payne's contract worries me if the reported figure is true, he needs an upgrade asap.

For the record. I love Wayne, and his world is great while you're in it, at worst we brought forward the inevitable by a year or two by moving him on. As much as all can't be blamed on Wayne, neither can it be blamed in Seibold . He was dealt a less than winning hand, although some would have you believe he was given everything ready to roll. In my view he was handed a somewhat poisoned chalice. Despite that he has opted for youth and cleaned out some to the detriment of his own reputation. I d prefer to see the positive.

Its the others in the process that are equally as accountable. I said it the other day, the system we have is fine, i wonder if the personnel aren't the issue. Its way too easy to heap the blame on Bennett. Too many at the Broncos are getting away with under performance away from the playing side and i believe it goes all the way up to White.

Also, its not the same at every other club. Parr does most of the work at the Cowboys for example more than Green. Head coaches in the modern game aren't as involved as they used to be, especially at clubs that have to answer to shareholders like the Broncos.

The cap isnt down to Seibold its not on him for that, he wasnt around, but we should have done better. Absolutely no question in my mind. He made some monumental stuff ups imo, some decisions he bottled and we looked a clueless footy team in 2019. He wont get away with it again.
