Where will we finish?

I just hope there is no fighting at Red Hill.

The last time the Broncos were leaking points like they are now and had the same attitude, it was during the Henjak era and it was a result of the players not wanting to play for Henjak.

Ever since the Henjak era, we have actually showed heart and fight in matches. We copped a couple of big scores courtesy of the Storm and Rabbitohs, but even in those games we weren't backing down without a fight.

We haven't a hope in hell of beating the Storm or NQ in a finals match this year.

Our only chance at GF redemption is Melbourne and NQ knocking each other senseless in a major semi-final somehow and us playing the winner.

As we're tracking for outside top 4 finish, that's unlikely.

Bennett needs to pull something incredible out of the hat comes finals time... but I can't see any trump cards.

Cowboys we can beat.

We beat them in Round 4 and we would have won in Round 11 if it wasn't for all of the injuries.

Cowboys are the one team we tend to lift for.

How often have you seen a comprehensive win for the Cowboys?

As the storm proved yesterday - every team is vulnerable.

It is worth remembering that while other teams have had to deal with injuries and rep duty, how many of them have had to deal with as many as us and all seemingly at different times, plus suspensions?

Through our run of outs, we've had any of these players out or not finish games at any given time:

Some of these players repeatedly so. You do that to any team and see them not struggle. The key will hopefully be that we get a lot of these guys back for the run home. Given those circumstances, it is hard to see how it isn't possible that we can beat any team on any given day if fully fit.

I think Cowboys are our number 1 threat. If we played anyone else in the GF we would be favourites.

And I know we won earlier this year but I just think Morgan has Milford's number. And Thurston obviously is better than Hunt. Everything else cancels out.

The only expectation I have now, as of last game, is that next game, we will be better, and so on - individually, and collectively as a team, until we reach and win the GF.

We have the playing and coaching talent. Question is, do we have the commitment. That's all it takes.

I wasn't worried about it before because they didn't need to win to stay in the top 4, and they still don't.

But if they want to be taken seriously this year, if they want to get their season back on track and be a force in the comp, they have to beat Melbourne.

Odds are are very low outside top 4 finish. On the plus side the boys look like they are most excited about a not too distant mad Monday! I suggest a game of thrones theme to match the likely internal politics.

Nah, I think they should have a Hunger Games them with actual weapons for Mad Monday, might open up some cap space for next year, and if there are internal schisms, that will fix them permanently. :-)
