How long are trainers (like Langer) allowed to stay on the field? He could help guide Hunt if he stays on the field more than usual. :D

Can be on the field while the team is attacking. Needs to come off in defence though

PJ has been ordinary when he's played, and he has pace? I don't know about that.

I agree that PJ has been ordinary this year when he has played in the top grade especially in the Monday night game against the Sharks. I believe this is because he has had a stop start season with niggly injuries and that he over played his hand trying to hard to impress & secure a regular spot in the top squad. He has managed to string some games together for the Comets at the end of the year. I thought he played very well in the Q cup semi's as well.

What I ment by him having pace is not how fast he could run the 100 but how fast he plays the game. I reckon the Broncos will want to play a very direct game against the Storm & try and expose the Storms tradesman like forward pack. PJ loves running the ball, alot more than Hunt & will back up so he will be harder to set a defensive pattern against than Hunt. IMO

It has to be Ben Hunt. He played pretty well in that side that lost to the Titans, he will be uber confident if Lockyer wants him in the side (like Shmix said, it should be who Lockyer wants), Hodges, KHunt, Parker, Thaiday will all give him confidence, and he has the combination with McCullough, Glenn & Yow Yeh from the 20's last year.

It's probably the best we can do in a terrible situation.

It has to be Ben Hunt. He'll have all week to train with the side, he causes as little disruption to what has been happening with the team the last few weeks.

As long as Locky plays heaps at 2nd receiver - that's one structural change that can't be messed with

Eh, I don't think there's really such a thing as a specialist 2nd receiver anymore. For a lot of teams (including the Broncos) the halves are split into a left side and right side half. We have Wallace who controls the left and Lockyer, who controls the right, and other than that they both share the roles and switch between them depending on what side of the field we are targeting.

You may well be right. I just seem to remember that our best plays are when Lockyer plays at 2nd receiver more than 1st.

Is Palmer Wapau still with the club and is he fit? If so could he be an option at Five8.

IMO there are much worse ideas than this being seriously discussed.

Yep. Like PJ Marsh. Or Tonie Carroll playing five-eighth.

Or Alfie coming out of retirement.

They'd be about the only things worse than promoting Pretender Wapau to first grade. He simply isn't up to it.

people need to have an open mind, one minute when pj marsh is carving everyone up...everybody jumps on his bandwagon...if he was to play ..IMO he would do a great job ...

Other than the first 3 rounds of 2008, when has PJ Marsh carved up for the Broncos?
