Woman hurt at NRL star's home- guess the player, then read..

I wonder how much he's giving her to shutup about it.

Would love to know what Orr said to her the day he went to visit her.

That's my opinion. She may make an appearance with him, then claim homesickness....and fly off into the sunset with a nice healthy bank balance.

I think you are all wrong. IMO, she is just one of "those" women.

More to do with the fact that he didn't mean it, it's only when his drunk, he's not really like this, he loves me, he only does it because he loves me so much, etc.

Total MRF.

Kate Neilsen too (Wayne Carey's punching bag).

Mmm, i don't really understand those women, but My sis was in an abusive relationship for a while but only because she was too scared to leave. Also she went back to him a few times because of such a low self esteem. (this was AFTER the dude punched her in the gut when she was pregnant causing a miscarriage!!! she ended up getting pregnant again to the guy [icon_shru , but i think that was only out of grief and a sense of guilt and trying to replace the first child [icon_shru

Who knows why women do these things, but you shouldn't judge them too harshly. Generally they're very fragile women who are trusting, caring and wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Controlled then lose self esteem.
See that woman on Aussie Story last night. Name escapes me but gees what a life she has had and is still having.

At least with physical abuse it's harder to hide, and so people try and get you out of it more readily.

Emotional abuse is much more sinister and long lasting (and yes, it is commonly involved in conjunction with physical abuse too).

I heard one not long after the deed. Thanks mum.
Apparently Greg Bird's girlfriend will still be cheering for Cronulla in the finals, she's a bit of a one-eyed fan.

What exactly would 'reckless wounding' involve? Throwing a glass in a fit of anger and having it hit someone accidentally?

I think it's hilarious that police have said that the verbal statement Katie has given is 'dubious'. Seriously, don't they both realise that if they came out and told police what actually happened this would probably all go a lot more smoothly for them? The longer she refuses to say what happened, the longer this will go on.

If she doesn't cooperate and he is eventually found guilty, will she be charged with misleading justice or something ?

Maybe obstruction of justice or provide false/misleading information

Innocent until proved guilty.

Exactly right. I have enough faith in the NSW Police to agree, he's toast.

I dont think he is. The fact that they have downgraded his charged and tried to bring up additional charges just shows that their case against him is weak, largely due to the fact that his girlfriend isnt willing to provide details to the police.
