World Club Series Team

Next on the agenda is the world club series. I think we need to go full strength (or as much as possible) since it will be our only hit out for a full strength team. So i think we should go with.

1. Boyd
2. Opacaic/Eden/Seve/Anderson
3. Kahu
4. Roberts
5. Oates
6. Milford
7. Nikorima
8. McGuire
9. McCullough
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker

14. Utility of some description. But not sure who with Kodi starting.
15. Thaiday
16. Ofahengaue
17. Ese'ese

I don't see why we'd shift Oates over to the right, he seems pretty much at home on the left. I'd also be pretty keen to start the season with Kahu on the right wing outside of Roberts so they can start forming a combination, rather than having Kahu at left centre for a month before Reed returns.

I'd go with -

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Opacic
4. Roberts
5. Kahu

These past few months have been up and down for me and I haven't paid much attention so I ask you who have...what players do we have who play centre ? (aside from Reed ,Roberts and Kahu)

I imagine we have some fair depth in the position or do we ?

I hope they send all 20's and treat this as if they would a trial / the Nines.

Pretty much the last hit out before round 1.
I think Bennett will send a near first grade outfit. Got to get a bit of match fitness in some of these guys

20th Feb. Just in case anyone was unsure of the date. So it'll be the Sunday morning ?

I think Bennett will carry five interchange players over with a utility being an outside back in the running. I expect McCullough to play the full game. Hard to tell who the one or two outside backs will be. I have a feeling Opacic is in with a good shot.

It's legit like a week and a half before Round 1, it's a great tune up game for the boys, I'd be sending a full strength side, maybe resting McGuire & Oates, just to be safe.

1. Boyd
2. Eden
3. Opacic
4. Roberts
5. Kahu
6. Milford
7. Nikorima
8. Thaiday
9. McCullough
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker

14. Berrell
15. Wallace
16. Ese'ese
17. Ofahengaue

That's the sort of team I wouldn't mind seeing, test out Eden & Opacic. give Ese'ese another crack.

Oates has been suffering from back spasms but he is expected to play.

Yes no whitchurch hopefully that's a good thing

I'd say the race for the last wing spot is down to two between Eden and Opacic

Waddell will probably be the bench utility so one of Ese'ese, Joe Offa or Wallace will miss out too.

Good squad, I'm backing Opacic for the left centre spot, that way we can keep Kahu on the right wing for the first month of the season, let him develop a combination with Roberts, rather than shifting him from Centre to Wing all season again.

Hopefully he's just cover...I'd rather play four forwards. Can't we play with an extended bench in this game anyway?? I'd say we are sending an extra back to cover Oates.

what is it with Bennett giving a shit player a free holiday every year ... last year it was Whitchurch, this year Waddell
