The original post correctly uses moot in the context of being irrelevant because there's "no fucking chance it happens." If you wanted to dispute the point you could have done so instead of holding forth on the true meaning of moot and then congratulating broncsgoat on accepting your supposed correction in the appropriate spirit - advice you yourself might benefit from.
It's odd that you don't appreciate the irony. You, doling out advice ,correcting and doing your best to appear wise and all knowing, lecturing and repeatedly taking potshots.

Oh, I know love, I know. You wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for Huge correcting others. I just had to smack him down to restore order in the matrix.

Sponsors are allowed to demand player behaviour standards at their functions and in the public. Lodge behaviour as a tigers player was disgraceful and brought rightful punishment. As a Bronco his behaviour has been inspiring. Good on him. Deserves the C. It's not a life appointment FFS.

I honestly thought he was doing it to be ironic.

In my experience you have never had an issue with being corrected, you take it in your stride and appreciate it as far as I can tell. Some people don't like it though...

You're right. I hadn't noticed the irony of a bloke who frequently corrects others, often in an unnecessarily condescending manner, being incorrect himself. Or the very same person who posts about humbly accepting corrections doubling down, trying to talk his way around admitting he was wrong then finally trying to turn the subject towards to supposed poor form of his interlocutors.

I'd be happy with Lodge as captain, particularly if he's the leader the team want. But I would also be happy with Glenn, who I would have preferred over Boyd.

I see a lot of the arguments against Lodge as captain reference the fact that he doesn't need the added scrutiny or pressure given his background. I'd have thought Lodge himself would be in the best position to make that call, but that's just me...

Nothing to admit. Get over it. Take your headmaster hat off. Typically overstating things, I do not frequently correct others or offer advice, I occasionally do so. In the response to the original post I also recounted one of my many mistakes demonstrating that I fail too. Unlike others though, I own them and admire others that do so.

Lodge has paid his penalty as prescribed by the US judicial system and has rehabilitated. People need to move on from the past, far worse human beings have been captains in the NRL.
He wasn't even convicted. So there's also that

Nah. Co-Captains is shit. Clubs have a captain, none of this new age not make a decision, not hurt another players feelings bullshit.
Tell that to the reining primers. This of which have a very likely possiblity of going back to back

Let me get this straight... I posted something correctly, then fact checked myself and thought I was wrong, left it up anyway and got pulled up on it and conceded that I was wrong even though I was right in the first place? Lol.

Yep pretty much. It's a particularly confusing one because meanings change over time, 30 or 40 years ago you'd have been wrong but in modern Australian you've used it correctly.

We dropped our standards when we signed Lodge and we’re dropping our standards further if he is made captain.

Tallis has used this as another excuse to attack the club. Sorry Tallis, but your mate Kevvie isn't going to be head coach. Stick to making insane suggestions like somehow signing under contract stars like Keary.

my mrs doesn’t follow the footy. She’s come to me with a few games and tolerates my obsession and hours on BHQ. Good chick.
Today I said, guess who is going to be the next broncos captain... she said who?... and I said Matt lodge and she looked at me in disbelief and said the New York guy?

That’s who is going to be our captain
