Some things just take time, I'm not saying he'll reach the same heights but I mean I wouldn't be surprised in 3/4 years he is able to make some sort of crack at it again.He's been battling this injury for three years. He knows in his heart of hearts he's never going to be physically (or mentally I'd imagine) good enough to play NRL again. That sounds like I'm being an a-hole but it's pretty close to the truth I'd imagine.
There's only so many surgeries and rehab sessions you can do before it's time to stop.
What a fantastic player he was and could have been one of the great wingers in our game, definitely will be missed on the field.
Question though: when the Broncs say they are retiring his no 5 jersey, does that mean like it does in the states and that there won't be another Broncos no 5 jersey?
