Hannant and Thaiday should definitely be kept around. Hannant is a top class prop, one of the best in the game and he's been great this year and if Thaiday's last game is anything to go by he's back to his best and boy do we need him at his best.

Agreed, but I'm so sick of the negativity. "Doesn't matter who we get, we play **** footy, we'll make them crap players"...blah blah blah.
100% agreed. So many negative nancies. We are the Broncos FFS, not Penrith or some shit club, we've missed the finals once in our existence, only a classy club can do that.

Technically 4 times (1988, 1989*, 1991, 2010).

* finished equal 5th, lost midweek play-off.

But yes, exactly, we've been spoiled. And while I'm glad the Broncos have the chequebook open, if the player we want isn't available, then let's keep that money and keep looking. Don't throw it at a nuffy like Carney or something.

Yep.. would be nothing worse than doing it half assed and having a bunch of so-so 'stars' tying up cap space when the real quality is available to be signed

Agreed. I'm still not sure if we are allowed to front load contracts, but if we can that would be great. Front load the **** out of Gillett, Glenn, Hodges and Thaiday, have millions free in the latter years of their deals. Much better than paying a Widdop 600k or whatever.

Also, anyone know if we are in the market for Mateo? I just saw he was off contract and remember Griffin really rated him last year.

My mistake, what I meant was top 8.

But we clearly have a lot of cap space to spare, we were just waiting for the right player to buy, Dugan was that player until he messed up, now we wait for another star worth buying to hit the market. Judging by our performances so far, we only just lost to Melbourne and beat a top 4 Titans team, not bad all things considered.

Yep. Honestly, as critical as I was in the first 3 rounds, we have a playing roster that's top 8 quality. That's probably the extent, and we need a quality half (and fullback if Norman does leave), but that doesn't mean we should give up on this year. Premiership? Beyond us. Top 4 should be our goal, Top 8 our pass mark.

mateo Would be an excellent signing- genuine skill in the ruck, with an X factor about him- great impact player off the bench. make it happen

the warriors have been sh!thouse all this year and all last year. mateo still killed it last year, and hed be awesome at the broncos. until we stifle his offload. so hed be awesome til round 2.

Well we shouldn't sign anyone, we'd just coach the good out of them

well given our history of pretty much driving the offload out of anyone and everyone who ever liked to use it, its a safe bet to say we would. corey parkers the only one in our team who offloads, and even he has cut down a lot in recent seasons.

Haha I don't disagree tbh. I think Parker should off load more often because he's damn good at it most of the time. In all honesty I would like Mateo to join us but I feel we're better off spending on the backline.

David Williams is off contract, that's one guy I wouldn't mind signing, only 26 and a very solid/good winger who would serve us well for a few years at the least.

Shaun Johnson. That's who I really want. Get him Gee.

When did Carney become a nuffie?

Or are we back on the don't sign players with a bad rap sheet again?

He's clearly turned it around, I hope the rumours of him being of interest are true.

He's had one good season, and then fell off the wagon again. He'd be a gamble
