Because 1910 likes everyone begging him for information, that's what happens when you have a big ego. He likes to feel important and obviously coming to a small forum and smacking people down helps him. Maybe that's all he has in life and we should cut him some slack?

Oh stop it Rabbir, you're terrible!

With the rumours that Woolf is also leaving I think that there might still be hope that Kearney will not be around. Sure the condition of our players had something to do with our defense, but I can't help but shake the feeling he is no good for us.

Rather than smacking someone on the hand for making an error, why don't you elaborate on exactly what roles and position the guy actually had?

Because then he would have to explain how he "knows" this, instead of just randomly pulling shit out of his arse.

How do you know what he did and didn't provide? Just because he struggled with para doesn't make the guy the source of all our problems, by most reports he's actually quite capable.

Did you not notice how pathetic our defence was this year........that was supposedly Kearney's department (waits to be corrected by 1910)

In the past Brisbane have won games on our defence, in fact it massively compensated for our woeful attack.

Not this year.

It's no great shock they got rid of somebody. However i think its pretty shitty they are being made scapegoats for the the terrible season we had. If Paul White or the board had any spine they'd sack Griffin, he is the one who makes the crucial decisions, not these other two muppets regardless of how rubbish they are.

Our fitness was poor. Not really a scapegoat if you look at how we seemed to run out of gas at the back end of matches constantly.

Not even the back end of matches .... the back end of halves was pretty terrible as well !!

An appropriate fitness regime is a deadset must for an NRL side...and to think you could possibly cut corners, or do things a little different is a ticket to mediocrity.

Who was the fitness/conditioning person when Henjak was coaching (from memory) when people like Gus raved about how super fit and super strong the Broncos were?

Dean Benton?

In any case, since that season (2010 ?), many of the players fitness, strength and speed has declined in inverse proportion to their bulk.

As someone else posted, that would IMO account for our dreadful defence this year but it's not the whole story. You have to add recruitment and team structure and organization as well (or rather, the lack of).

Whose responsibility is that?

SACKED Brisbane conditioner Tony Guilfoyle says he never saw his dismissal coming and scuppered claims Broncos players lacked the fitness to be a premiership contender this season.
Breaking his silence after being fired on Tuesday, Guilfoyle admits he is shocked, but maintains he is not a scapegoat for the worst season in the Broncos' 25-year history.

...

"I believe the team were fit and well-prepared, they were as well prepared as 2011 when we made the preliminary final," he said.

...

"Two years ago, we won 18 out of 24 games. We had the club's fittest and strongest team then and I don't believe much has changed in two years other than some players leaving.
"You don't go from there to nowhere.

It's pretty easy to get unfit. Though it's also fairly easy to get into shape too as long as you have the motivation. A lot can change in 2 years, not sure what he's talking about.

He's delusional, which is easy to understand as he just lost his job.

That being said he's not the sole reason for our failure.

I get that absolutely and i don't disagree with him being shown the door, but surely Griffin could have stepped in at some point during the year and said hey whats going on their fitness isnt where it should be, and he didn't. He should ultimately be the one who falls on his sword for a failed campaign.

I always thought he was one of our development officers.
