Broncos sack two staff members

Hinchey came to the Broncos as EPD manager after working for the Dolphins as CEO and assistant coach, his working focus was the junior academy - under 14 and senior academy- post high school. I have never heard of his role including media or seen him complete or organise any media commitments. That is Trad's job.

Gillfoyle wasn't the soft trainer he is being painted as in this thread- players complain he was too tough and that group was involving senior players. Broncos have now sacked their last two strength and conditioning trainers.

This is old boys driven make no mistake about that, the campaign has been going for weeks staged out in the Courier through one journo.
They seemed to fade out of games this year which appeared to be fatigue. Are there any thoughts to what caused his problem 1910

Score 3 more tries per game and you can have 3 nice rests while someone has a kick at goal.

Fatigue causes all these problems

To a point, yes, but mental toughness is a form of fitness which I feel makes physical fatigue better, or worse.

The organization and structure I refer to were, sorry, just not there to start with, which made everyone work harder. Yes, we made the 3rd most tackles this year, and missed the most tackles.

Fatigue? Absolutely. Why? A combination of fitness, but much much more, the absence of organized structures where players know where to be, know who is in support, and not have to play ad hoc which forces every player to work harder

We created the conditions which exacerbated any weakness in fitness and conditioning ... and led to us finishing 4th last.

We played more to our weaknesses than our strengths.

That is head coach stuff.

Why can't they listen to the old boys and just **** Griffin off.

Because if you listen to old boys for the rest of your days you never move forward. 5% are valid and the rest talk shit reliving the past.
Broncos management has started the forward progress and Griffin will live or die by the sword next season

Based on this season's efforts, can anyone watching the finals see us competing at that level next year?

Seriously?

My point is you have no idea which old boy has a valid point. Lockyer is for Griffin and Tallis & co against. Who do you believe and why?
BTW I am not a Griffin fan but the club seems to have started some positive moves over the last month and I have to trust they have seen the error of their ways and now are reacting.
I am also assuming the reviews are still happening

Also if the old boys know so much why are they not coaching the club? Probably because they would not be capable so it is best to let them ask questions but not supply answers

Because 1910 likes everyone begging him for information, that's what happens when you have a big ego. He likes to feel important and obviously coming to a small forum and smacking people down helps him. Maybe that's all he has in life and we should cut him some slack?

Graphic material

I am actually starting to enjoy 1910's contributions, he has more knowledge than anyone on here (except for yours truly of course), he is obviously very close to the game and he keeps BP in line. His only negative is that he is a bit arrogant and being arrogant with some of this mob is probably a bit cruel.

Uneducated? So what does it take to be 'educated' exactly? Eyes that can see a team that is barely fit enough to play NRL standard for 20 minutes per half before fading away, perhaps?

Or maybe the "foresight" that doesn't even allow you to see that YOU will be held responsible as fitness co-ordinator, for such an abysmal state of affairs at the end of a season of such un-brindled mediocrity...

The Sunday Mail today backs up what I have been trying to tell you about past players. Now you have Lockyer, Murray and Ribot sticking up for Griffin
Who do you believe unless you are on the inside?
I have a lot of respect for the opinions of Murray and Ribot

The only reason I was hesitant to listen to Locky on Griffin is I thought he may be too close to him

Both Murray and Ribot have Redcliffe connections and you often see Muppet in the box at Broncos games with Hook, so grain of salt there.

Whilst I agree we need better players the thing I remember is our coach saying we didn't, he was happy with what we had and we would build from within. Now his job is on the line he is acting on what was obvious to most ppl and strengthening the squad from outside the club.

If he seriously thought he could do something with that squad of his he either rates his ability too much or he has no clue.

How does this move compare to the one by Wayne Bennett in 2005 when he sacked Glen Lazarus and Kevin Walters (I think)?, when I heard about this Bennett's actions after the 2005 crash was the first thing that came to mind.

The only connection is that a coach sacked some staff members in the off season. That's it.

We are worlds away from 2005/2006 scenarios.
