Bulldogs vs Souths

Huge lol....just checked out the fox sports site and its got a section where it lists the dogs problems...it has two players charged with descent ! They're going down it appears.....shit, how do these people get a job. Dissent you dickheads !
Maybe they are going down on someone to get off the charge

I'm not actually interested in the penalty discussion to be honest, I think it's just going to go in circles, and what's done is done.

What I am interested in, is the possible suspension he faces, do you think he deserves a big suspension?

Personally with the ruling as muddy as it is, I don't think he deserves more than a week, if anything simply because I don't believe you can argue it was reckless or intentional, perhaps careless, and I'm not sure what the grading is for that. I just hope he doesn't get a 4-10 week suspension to make an example of him because of the unfortunate injury that occurred.

I think the charges are released on Tuesday, so we'll find out. If they hit him with a big suspension, I have no doubt Bulldogs will send their best legal experts to fight the charge.
He deserves a minimum 4 weeks for inciting the Bulldogs fans along with Klemmer. I would also give him a week for the charge down, accidentally making contact on the kicker should be no defence

No, that sounds about right Twiztid, good find. And I agree that based on that it's a fair penalty.

Also agree that there should be one rule book only.

I found it. Right there in Black and White. NRL Judiciary Guidelines. Why the hell it isn't worded into the rulebook like this is beyond me, if it was there like that, no-one would be complaining.

Contact With A Kicker Charged as Dangerous Contact
Directions along the following lines may be given:

Kicking the ball in the course of play is a legitimate part of the game.
It is acceptable fairly to charge down the kick before or during the making of the
kick so as to frustrate it and to prevent the ball passing cleanly away; however it
is conduct in breach of the Rules where, in the course of a charge-down of a kick
in the course of play, the charging player makes Dangerous Contact with the
kicking player.

One possible indicator of such an offence is that the contact is improbably late
and/or not directed at the football - that is, where it is clear that the charging
player was never likely actually to stop the ball being kicked away, and just
aimed to make contact with the kicker whilst he is off balance and vulnerable.

Another possible indicator of such an offence is that in attempting to charge a
kick down a defender throws himself in front of the kicker or at the kicker’s leg or
legs making it likely a collision with the defender will be unavoidable.

Another possible indicator of such an offence is that the charging player
launches himself so that he loses contact with the ground in the course of the
charge.

And there may be other indicators.

The Panel should bear in mind, where deciding on such charges, the need to
protect kickers against being targeted.

This offence may be committed intentionally, recklessly or carelessly.

But then again some people will probably read it differently to me.

The bolded parts suggest Graham could be in some strife, because given the direction he dived hitting the legs was a likely outcome IMO. he also left the ground, so thats 2 indicators that he meets.

^^THIS.

It's pretty simple to understand. There's no outrage or injustice against the Dogs. It's the rules of the game.

Certainly no reason to riot against the referees. Canterbury shouldn't be allowed to have a fan base ....time after time again, Bulldog fans are guilty of doing the most repulsive things.

Why should every supporter of the club be punished due to the actions of a minority?

Most teams in the world wouldn't have a fan base going by your logic

But but but, don't these new fangled computery things have an auto correct ha ha....thing is, I'll have my way and you will forevermore spell dissent correctly! And I'll have no descent from you over the matter !!!
foordy will start spelling correctly if you stop talking about yourself in the 3rd person. " huge lol".

It was reckless at best .....and as such, he should be suspended. I've got no problems with him sitting on the sidelines for a month or longer.

Because they're a shit club with shit supporters.

The Bulldogs fans I know are some of the best people I know and are very respectful individuals. Every club has scum cheering for them.

How many clubs have their fans burning opposition teams effigies and or rioting in the streets.....or violently attacking match officials ........or violently accosting opposition fans on public transport after a game?

The Bulldogs fans tick all those boxes. Not too many other teams fans do ....

Can we all just agree that it wasn't just one or two fans and it never has been when it comes to the Bulldogs? That whole area of fans were throwing things.

Yeah? How many roughly of the about 30,000 Bulldogs fans?

Don't make exaggerations to drive a point home. A few very good friends of mine (from all backgrounds), were in that Bulldogs Army, they didn't throw bottles, some people did.

It's disgusting behaviour but it's also disgusting to judge everyone on what some people do.

At first I thought I had done that until I realised I actually used it as an adjective! I went back to check how I could have done that ...doh

How many were throwing things, have ripped out seats, threatened people at games, brought flairs and weapons to games, hurt people at games? More than the "1 or 2" fans every Bulldog fan keeps saying.

It's ok Huge. Socnorb won't hold it against you. I could help hearing it in a cave man voice. Huge make fire , now huge happy , now huge no longer need woman to keep warm

Yeah I agree, they've got a bunch of idiots and they need to get serious with lifetime bans, it's definitely not 1 or 2, probably close to a few dozen people.

That being said I've been to Broncos games and Bulldogs games and I enjoyed the Bulldogs games much more. Brisbane fans are too quiet, but obviously going to far the other way is disgusting as well.

In saying that, I have a respect for the Bulldogs fan base because they always turn up in numbers and actually support their team unlike Pathetic Roosters fans who struggle to get 10k crowds when they've got the best team in the competition.

Good find Twiztid. Graham will probably get a few weeks based on that...
He was a chance of charging the ball, as it literally passed between his arms, so I couldn't call it more than careless.

What I cannot understand, is why is this only found on the judiciary guidelines, but not in the actual game rules or guidelines? A case could be made that the player is not obliged to know about those...?

Anyone else notice the larger police presence at games where the Bulldogs are involved?
