He was a Broncos fan growing up aswell. His history of injuries is concerning however.

I'm a huge Glenn fans, but if signing Glenn to a new deal costs us Fifita than I say Glenn has to go. Give Fifita an upgrade.

You would think Gillett is one serious injury away from retirement, which when you consider his current run may be closer than he woukd like.

If we could get rid of Boyd and Macca and get Hunt (as a 6) and re-sign Fifita it would be a dream come true. Sure, Hunt isn't a HB, but he's a very good running half and could have a massive rebound coming back to the club he obviously loves and having no pressure to do absolutely everything like he does as the Drags. Playing behind the best pack in the comp would be handy for him too.

Problem with Widdop is his shoulders are built from the same material as Boyd’s hamstrings

Both of them are old boys at St. Brendan's College. They might have some connections up there, plus Seibold was the assistant coach when Hunt made his Origin debut.

Ah who am I kidding. We need a playmaker. Turpin, Hunt, SoS/Dearden, Milford isn’t such a bad spine for a team that has as much talent as we do. We’d probably still lose plenty but **** the games when all the stars aline would be entertaining. Huge price cut would be needed though.

Yeah, maybe old mate just heard we are chasing an ex 7 of ours . I think Taylor has what it takes especially behind a good pack, but either way both would have to be at considerably less money.

Let's not forget that Taylor will be 25 by the time next season rolls around, he's not exactly a "young potential player" anymore, he's verging on being labelled as a veteran that couldn't live up to his potential.

Well Ash Taylor is Dave Taylor’s younger brother so it isn’t a surprise they are on the same path of wasted potential. Ash already looks chubby and will balloon like Dave did. It’s genetic.
