Broncos prop Matt Lodge has today been cleared of a leg injury after being caught in an awkward position in last night’s game against the Titans.

Broncos Head Of Performance Paul Devlin said: “Matt settled really well overnight and had a scan today to check for any damage.

“We expect Matt to settle further in the coming days and are hopeful that he will not miss any games.”

Is it wrong that I'm disappointed?.. I genuinely think a 3-4 week break would've been great for Lodge, given him more time to rest both knees, maybe shed a few kilos and improve his fitness while he's at it so he's not a completely liability in the middle.

Anyone got a clip of Offa's shot?
There's absolutely no fucking way we can be the only team that gets pinged for these suspensions every week. Especially on shoulder charges.

Im certain there's probably 5+ others across the weekend that have and will remain unpunished.

When is the club going to start to financially hit the players that are continually getting suspended.
Front of mind without even thinking: Staggs, TPJ, Carrigan, Fleggler, Offa. These blokes are getting bashed (on field) week in, week out and then to add insult we are having blokes suspended every week.
The club needs to come down on these clowns. Whilst they're not in the 17 as a result of suspension, their weekly salary should go to a charity. Make it happen. Players won't like missing out on their $$

Ofahengaue's shoulder charge.

Unlike Su'A doesn't attempt to use his right arm at all.

Bigger fool him.

As the self proclaimed strongest man at the Broncos, maybe it’s time he started exercising the thing between his ears for a change.

Definitely a shoulder charge, but how the **** is that worth 3 weeks, even taking into account loading? It was barely a nudge.

The MRP consistently add an extra grade to every single charge against a Bronco.

If he takes the plea, it's a two week suspension.

The MRC didn't add any tax to the charge, a Grade 1 carries a 200-point penalty, an early plea usually results in a one week suspension but due to Joe's priors he's facing an extra week.

How does a 20% loading on 200 points equal 3 weeks then? Am I missing something?

40% loading for having two non-similar priors.

27 carry-over points.

40% loading... ouch.

Is it just me or is loading plus carryovers seem overly harsh? You literally get punished 3 times for that first offence.

Lodges’ hit ups are as soft as Martin Kennedy’s right now. It doesn’t say a lot about Kennedy considering he was on enhancements.

And that is coming from a bloke who would deadset appreciate to be out there playing. Hell the effort just to come back and play a trial for us was first class after that horrific injury.

Doubt he’d say that if he was still on the pay roll
