I also agree the coach is a dud. But my point is, if Milford and Boyd got the boot for next weeks game, I would put money on the Broncos. These guys are doing more damage than we know. The young guys are all over social media, they see the Boyd memes and the trending topics. Who wouldn’t feel animosity when you need to pick up the slack for guys who are paid much more then you. Get rid of the bloated contract duds, take the financial hit and move on. Maybe next year perhaps as it’s probably not worth the trouble now.

I agree it's not all Boyd nor do I think he is solely to blame for where we are but if your afraid to cut out the cancer it continues to spread and all your spreading is a message of mediocrity is acceptable across the board, nothing will improve. I’ve already said enough is enough. He should have been dropped last year and I have said that numerous times. This is implying he is the cancer because of an out of context quote people like to throw around, when the cancer was actually the board white anting the coach with a year left on his contract and a plan to bring in someone who was learning from him. We had everything sorted, this whole situation wasn’t necessary and it was caused by who? The board, Paul White, Karl Morris, Darren Lockyer (although I suspect he’s just a figurehead with no actual sway) and the man who guilt tripped and took every shortcut in the world to get here earlier than necessary, Anthony Seibold. They are the cancer, not a ducking centre who has been stripped of all leadership. **** that noise

We identified the issue was coaching and paid him out. Suspect Broncos will be more patient though.

Nothing worse for morale then an overpaid group of leaders taking a back seat on the field while the young guys have no choice but to take the slack. A group of leaders who get a nice big fat paycheck known to all regardless of performance. A group of leaders who are guaranteed a spot each week no matter how shit they are while the other young guys are fighting to make it in first grade.

These young players see this group of leaders reamed on TV and social media so hard that its worn out, yet they rock up training and these guys look like a protected species taking the dollars regardless of a win or loss. Everyone's asking 'wheres the experience' as if these million dollar players didn't exist.

Coach gets paid win/loss, top players get paid win/loss. Win or lose, these guys are still getting paid. These young guys will be damage goods by the time this is over, before their careers get a chance to take off.

There's someone who can fill their spot and when their gone all those shit players you mention will spring to life and play to their potential :) Its happened before. Just one week to see what difference it can make, 1 WEEK TRIAL, or just keep the status quo.

Its not personal, its just professional sport.

So much agree with this. I laugh when I read comments such as "we have the talent" or "things would be different with a full team". This group is a marginal playoff team with a full squad, very marginal. With a few injuries and suspensions (like every team experiences), it is a bottom 4 side.

Omitting Boyd, Milf and Oates makes it a much worse side as there isn't anyone suitable to replace them. Like you said, the roster is shit made up mostly young guys who have no real career ahead of them and veterans who are washed up and don't give a **** anymore. Fafita, Haas and Staggs are the only players I rate on this team and they would be better off elsewhere.

If only it were that easy. Top 4 teams have great depth. You can't have depth when half of your starting 17 aren't up to the level required. This Bronco team is gut wrenchingly bad, last night proved that when being outclassed by a pub side.

I think we tend to massively over rate our players on here. I agree with your call with Fifita, Haas and Staggs. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of Coates and Dearden as they seem to have a bit of class but would need to develop it. Don't mind Carrigan as a toiler but the rest are just meh.

We have only one million dollar player. Boyd is on around 625 a season, Bird slightly more. Exaggerating the figures isn't helpful. The value these players have been to the club is a different matter.
