Yes the unfair dismissal laws are different over that amount. It doesn't mean that you don't have to pay out a contract though.

I'm not totally sold Kevvie has what it takes to be a top tier NRL coach but he sure as shit will be better than Seibold, actually takes discipline seriously (need only to look at him dismissing QLD players) and is a club legend who will both demand respect, and pride in the jersey again.

He'll also have the support of the media so he won't be hounded from day 1 for being the wrong person.

I really feel sorry for Seibold and wish him well in whatever he does next but I really can't wait for a change of scenery and a new coach to walk in. The environment is so toxic currently it simply cannot continue as it is.

Walters is a pretty reserved sort of bloke, but if he is somehow overlooked for the role once again, he will no doubt go absolutely ballistic.

Walters works in the media though and is mates with a bunch of the media wankers, so he'll surely get a far easier ride than Seibold who came in under appalling circumstances and replacing an excellent coach who the players never wanted gone.

The pressure on Walters is miles under what Seibold walked in on. He'll have the old boys support, he has plenty of friends in the media, he's a club legend and has done it all. I bet the players can't wait to play under him and results will immediately improve. Whether he can get us to the top tier, I don't know, but I absolutely don't think we'll be the joke of the league anymore if he takes over.

I agree with this, I think Walters will have a grace period but the gloves will come off from next year. The media will bash us for being us and Kev will cop it that is for sure. Just look at the treatment he gets around origin.

The big thing I love about Kev is his heart is on his sleeve. The bloke loves this club with every ounce of him, he is a club and league legend with 6 premierships, and multiple rep honors. We need a Broncos in here to get us through this period and there really is not many who are more Bronco then Kev. How good would it be to see Kev and Alf standing side by side again in Broncos colors.

Please board don't mess this one up.
