Australia vs India - Test Series

Regardless of the dropped chances, no front line spinner should be bowling 50 overs on a 5th day SCG pitch (Primarily at middle-lower order batsmen) and only grabbing 2 wickets.

Warne would have had this game over by lunch, no matter what the fielders were doing.

Tell you what, I reckon Swepson might have had this game over by now as well.

Swepson av 67 on the SCG for the Bulls.

I reckon India will be odds on to win the next test. This bowling side will be stuffed.
Gabba should be quick and bouncy for them.

They haven't really had much of a slog in any other innings though

Ade 93 and 21 overs
Melb 115 and 15 overs
Syd 100 and ~130 or so overs

So this game has been the longest, but India also had to bowl a fair bit this game as well (105 and 87 overs) and have lost Jadeja for the next match.

I think the bowlers will be excited to play at the Gabba knowing it will give them something unlike this pitch... although I think they have not bowled at the stumps enough either.

Hazelwood needs to be fuller and Starc needs to be fucking accurate for a start.

India have been smashing us with leg side fields and attacking the stumps, but we're happy to bowl 5th or 6th stump and go at 2.0 rpo

I have now said it so many times, you're just not reading it I am unsure what else I can do. I will pick one from the 45 times.

The debate isn't if India has worked in the rules, we know that. We- well me it seems is now talking about what do you do about it- you seem to have no answers.
Wow you're doing my head in with the rainman rule stuff.
Still haven't given an an answer to my question.
It's simple just type yes or no.
Do you think India were taking the piss claiming Pant was too injured to keep.

This is why the comparisons to McGrath, Lee, Gillespie aren’t on even if statistically they are similar. Those guys were out and out winners.

Time is coming for Paine to be managed out of the captaincy and out of the side.
He's done a great job and answered the call but the writing is on the wall.

I wonder if we might get a retirement announcement soon. I remember Gilly once said that he dropped a couple of sitters that he would normally have taken and realised than that it was time to go.

Don't be silly. It's only one bad game and this pitch hasn't turned at all or offered the spinners any sort of support.

He bowled a beauty to get Pant out. Completely unreasonable to expect a spin bowler to take wickets on a day 5 SCG pitch.

No I don't believe you would ever sit down and pick your side hoping your keeper gets hit in the third innings and you could sub him in with another keeper.

If India have pulled that off then they're the greatest manipulators in sport.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stood down from captain . It seems a lot on him now. His catching has been ordinary this series and some decisions with DRS and his fields are off as well.
I thought he could have attacked harder and earlier today when India went 5 down with an injury they were never going for the runs.

I think we can put that down to nothing going in the pitch and poor fielding
Whilst India batted superbly I believe we should of won that with the opportunities we had

What mate... you expect him to stand down because he has had a bad 2 or 3 games... no

Will fight anyone who thinks Steve Smith shouldn't be our test captain.

I dont give a **** what he does tbh but it's a lot to be keeper and captain and it wouldn't surprise me if that happens. Is that clear enough ...mate.

Easy transition in to Philippe/Inglis/McDermott - Play Wade as keeper for the next 12-24 months.

1. Warner
2. Pucovski
3. Labuschagne
4. Smith
5. Head
6. Wade (wk)
7. Green
8. Cummins (c)
9. J.Richardson
10. Lyon
11. Hazlewood

That'd be my side for the Gabba.
