Why are you giving this one random article that is full of wild speculation a higher level of credibility than the several other articles full of wild speculation that contradicts it?
The very first article mentions a similar wage , and its not like most posters don't do the same. Especially you.

Re the hooker situation, @1910 threw out a little teaser about Matt Parcell the other day but it seems to have slipped straight through to the keeper.

There is so many parts to this post, and I can't work out which idea/comment I hate the most. A truly shocking post filled with putrid ideas.
Ouch. I'll admit I did kind of make a mess of that last post, but there was a point there.

With every NRL team looking for a way to limit the impact of State of Origin on their rosters, if a spine player is eligible for origin and a tier 2 nation would a club be willing to make up those origin match payments at club level for them to commit to the tier 2 nation if they are deemed good enough?

I'm a pretty big believer in the idea that the next big 3 will be an international combination instead of a NSW or QLD one.

And with Staggs and Niu, (if they succeed in the spine long term) it would mean we already have 2 Tongan international spine players on our roster.

So I may of got a bit carried away when I saw the Tongan connection with Niu and Staggs, but I still think a Tier 2 international calibre Big 3 at club level is doable.

What was that sorry

I didn't see the teaser but Parcell was a gun with the jets in 2015 under ben and Shane walker who just happen to be good mates with ikin, who also travelled down to Sydney with the jets for the 2015 grand final and Kurt capewell was also a part of that team.. a few connections there

Great signing, great bloke.

Kurt is a great trainer, and Penrith credit him with turning around players work ethic. He isn't pampered; he got his shot late in his 'football life' and had to have two goes at ISC- ended on 53 games and 28 NYC games- so isn't part of the childhood prodigy generation.

Our kick offs will improve too. I hope Kevvie lets him take them because he's a great kicker of the ball.

Training will improve. Attitude will improve and football sense will improve- Kurt made his ISC debut on the wing at 18- never played wing before and scored two tries. Ben and Shane sold it to him all week.

Ben and Shane make their first signing through Ikin. Matty Parcell next?

I dont believe we need another prop here.

However, if the club disagrees with my POV then id be happy to see Ryan James come on board for a year or 2.

Ironic, considering he lived 1 hour away last year from Brissie, now hed come up via Canberra!

But a good trainer and a positive influence on our group of forwards. Be quite cheap id imagine..

Like i said though, i dont believe we need another prop. Focus on the spine.

November 1 go phoning up guys like Ponga, B Smith, H Grant etc...

I don't think our side needs someone like Ryan James.. I think his playing style is too similar to Carrigan and Flegler.

Would prefer to bring back Dunamis Lui who played Origin last year and has had a decent season this year. Leeson Ah Mau is another one I would prefer.

I think I remember an Ah Mau playing for us a while ago. I don't think he was a s good as Leeson. Leeson would be a great signing on the right money.

I think he'd form a solid combination with Haas at prop to start a game and get us steadily onto the front foot.

Thoughts on this signing? Would be cheap and has experience.

I don't think we need a big name prop but I do think we need a cheap, experienced hard head who will be on the fringe of the side. My pick has always been Dunamis Lui.
