Yeah , nah he arrived as a 26 year old . In 2021 /22 pre season .
He just turned 28 .

And I think you`ll find it`s hard to be selected and play 1st grade if your knee ligaments are shredded .

Also would be tough to play first grade in Melbourne with the players who were playing his positions.

Back? I’m playing him straight through the middle at 13 (off the bench) if I’m Wayne. He played well as a roaming player and considering Ray Stone and Mason Teague are inadequate locks at this stage and Tom Gilbert will shoulder most of the load there I reckon signing him up wouldn’t be a horrible thing for Wayne. Worst case capras or Redcliffe have a decent half.

I guess a few of you know who James Roby is now. 37 years old and can still play 80 minutes. Best hooker in the world. I've been saying we should have signed him for a couple of years now. He would've jumped at the chance.

and I'm sure we're all KEEN AS **** (I know I am)......to see Mozer be all he can be.

Unfortunately it feels like he may be a season or two from being NRL grade material......I wish that wasn't the case and he could kick off in 2023.

If he plays like he did for Qld last outing then Paix and Billy are an upgrade .
I watched him in the kids state of origin . He had nuttin . I couldn`t understand what the hype was about

I’ve never said otherwise. I’ve always just disagreed with how they are rotated and that Paix was dropped before Walters for reasons I won’t go back over.

My issue is that Smoothy may not even get a top 30 spot despite us needing the depth. I think he is also the biggest point of difference of the 3 so I would prefer Smoothy and one of Walters or Paix and I don’t have a strong preference for either. I think Paix is the better hooker but I think that is mostly countered by Billy’s utility in the halves so either are decent 30 minute bench options.

So Kev says Smoothy will "get some time." Presumably that's today. I'm guessing that means the three hooker candidates will either get short spells or he'll switch Billy into the halves again. More likely Smoothy will get five minutes at the end.
