Boy I wish that smoothy/piakura crash play was a try. Such a great thing to see from both lads. Actually loved watching the walters/smoothy rotation against the cowboys. Felt like both were great.

So Granville cops a Grade 1 High Tackle charge from the MRC for his contact on Arthurs but some how the bungler decides was all good during the game.......not even penalised.

Well he was penalised...then overturned...because Arthars was given a Cat.1 HIA by the wind only.

and you watch the NRL's spin doctor either justify the bunker's decision to over-rule the penalty (thus denying us a chance to activate our 18th man) or completely ignore what happened at his Monday arvo spin session

That was a real 80 minute performance. Yes we left some points out there but we'll benefit immensely from been made to work for 80 minutes for that win. Both physically and mentally knowing we should have been further ahead and just continuing to stick to the game plan regardless.

I wouldn't be mad if both the eels and raiders turn up and make us fight for the whole 80 before we get the bye to recover. We are going to need to be battle hardened and i really think that win against the cows in that fassion does us a world of good.

We really need to keep working on our discipline. Absolutely cannot be giving away 6 agains and penalties against the likes of the storm and panthers.

Just crazy. I can’t get my head around it.
I was looking forward to seeing what Kev had to say in his post match interview, but he was surprisingly ok with it. A shrug of the shoulders, and a ‘ah well, it’s a contact sport and these things happen’ vibe.

Before this game, I watched our NRLW side play and throughly enjoyed it. Expected the same type of result and got it.

One thing I noticed is, our NRLW side wore the Away team jersey and Cow’s NRLW side wore their Home jersey and thought we would follow suit.

On the contrary, our boys went in with our Home jersey and the idiots put on their Away jersey and I thought “well, do these idiots think Townsville is Broncos home too?”

I like when we play away with our home jerseys and love it when we trash the opponents @their base.

The cowboys would have chosen their white strip because of the heat, forcing us into our home jersey to avoid the clash.

And good because white jerseys suck. As much as I don’t like our jersey this year, much prefer the non-white version at all times.

Can they do that though? I mean what a team put on is up to them but how can they dictate opponent’s to put a certain color?

If what you said is true, they’re weak gutted dogs because their NRLW side played with their dark blue jerseys early when the heat severity is more compared to a 3PM kick off.

I remember we did it to the Warriors one year - made them play a hot day game in their black jersey.
They put fifty on us, if I remember rightly.

That game was quick- 419 play the balls compared to 361 the week before against the Roosters.

The Broncos really fought and played the ball quickly too. Kevvie wanted the ball in play and Broncos running.

Broncos av speed was 3.2 sec and Cowboys was 3.49. Broncos were really slow against the Roosters- 3.86 sec.

Some tired boys at the moment.

Could that actually be Kevvie`s cunning plan .
Get more miles into Smoovie .Start him and have William on the pine . Then he has Bill on the bench for eventualities and options ??

Not as crazy as it sounds . Lost the whole left flank yesterday .
He did seem think we looked better once Smoothy came on, so I don't see why not.
