As much as we disagree about how we ended up here, I must say I am excited about what the future holds. The above most of all. Fresh start, no pre-conceptions, players earn their spot, get on board or get on your bike.

Agreed mate.

McCullough has about as much credibility being QLD's Hooker as Scott Morrison has being PM.

The Broncos endured a lot of short term pain with the view that in the long term they'd reclaim their throne as one of the most dominant clubs in the game. Then just as Brisbane made their way through the worst of it and appeared to be turning a corner, Henjak was let go. To an extent it was disappointing that Henjak was never able to see the end result of his long term vision of the club. Henjak had to eat a lot of crow to get the squad he wanted and right as it was time to feast on his spoils, he was moved on before a ball was even kicked.
I was absolutely elated when Henjak was sacked. As much as he brought a creative edge to our attack, his team was the only Broncos team I saw give up early in multiple games.

I will never forget what we looked like in that 56-0 defeat in Canberra, not because of the result itself, but because it was the absolute deepest point of the utterly unBronco lack of attitude as a collective, as well as by almost all players individually.
It wasn't a one off game either. Henjak's Broncos consistently became worse under his tenure. 2010 was by far our worst season ever!

Under Griffn, we went back to the boring Bennett ball without the roster to make it work. Still, we finished 3rd and made it to the Prelims in 2011, year of Lockyer's farewell, and were it not for a Kiwi's knee, we might have gone at least one further. The 2 years that followed were cursed by Locky's huge unfilled boots and injuries to key players. Still, we weren't as bad as under Henjak and except for 2013 with one of the biggest injury tolls we ever suffered, we were at least competitive and honestly, not very dissimilar from the last 3 years under Bennett. Except no one can do Bennett ball like Wayne...

I can see Seibold bring the creative attack we so dearly need, as well as the defensive steel that makes champions. I think our roster was literally screaming for a coach like him.

P.S. I also believe the Bunnies will be very competitive. They, unlike us, have a roster that suits Wayne's football to a T.

Didn’t we like lead the comp in points scored last year? The attack is perfectly fine, we need to fix that soft defence.

Whilst I agree that defence is the priority I think our attacking stats from last year and even 2017 were misleading. Its one thing to score points when you are switched on offensively and the opposition is off definsively, but its a totally different thing to find points against a defence that isnt breaking easily.

On another note, was stoked with what I heard the players say after the last 24 hours about the intensity of training and how seibold likes to train at 100%. Everyones panicking about us losing players, but no matter who we lose it wont be the thing that stops us from winning a premiership-attitude is the number one requirement to lift the trophy on grand final day..

I don't think the attack is perfectly fine. We've often shown a lack of solutions when the individual efforts weren't coming off.

Having the likes of Jimmy the Jet, Corey Oates, Anthony Milford and even a Kodi Nikorima in your team, you risk scoring a fair amount of points against the poorer teams defensively. When you're facing a strong defensive team, your need the collective to match the individual efforts, which is something we've been lacking, as @Lockysillegitimatechild indicated.

That said, you're of course right about the defense being a higher priority to fix.

Except we were beating the top sides and losing to the sides we were expected to beat.

Agree defense was an issue as well.

Why? They both Bradbury'd their way into the role.
If you think Morrison just put his hand up at the last mintute, like the dad you begrudgingly agrees to coach the U/8s. You would be mistaken.

That’s due to poor attitude not lacking ability. I’m trusting that’s all about to change and will be extremely disappointed if it doesn’t.

are you watching the same Macca as the rest of us

Tbf to Macca, he was hampered a lot by injuries last year which he played through and probably shouldnt have been allowed to. He starts fresh now, hopefully injury free and fully fit. If he still doesnt lift his game i think we need to be in the market for a new hooker because at the moment i dont think we have a viable option.

Will that be due to the new coaching set up or just a natural progression due to our young players being more experienced and best defensive player not having a broken neck?

Having so many young blokes in our team probably didnt help our consistency .

Good point, a combo of both I think. Don't forget though this whole coaching shitstorm began with the Bellamy kerfuffle in when, June or July wasn't it? Players minds haven't been 100% on their job since then I reckon. Like any of us, we function best in life/work when we have stability. Footy players are no different.

Attitude has nothing to do with experience or broken necks. We’re talking beating good side and losing to lesser ones. So the answer is yes, I am expecting our new coaching setup to improve attitude.
