Well he's been released and charged with ABH and affray i think. Court trial in a few weeks.

From what i've heard he reacted after the DJ pushed him or something, needless to say he probably shouldn't have but i think it's been blown way out of proportion.

He's not the kind of fella to do this kind of thing, so i'm sure he'll be angry with himself and will get a dressing down from the club behind closed doors. Hopefully it doesn't play on his mind, and he can focus on his football.

Really think Babel needs to get his act sorted- everything he does looks so half-assed and there's no effort on his behalf.

I think the lads had a really tough time this season. He's found himself on the bench much more regularly, and mentally i think he's struggling to deal with it.

When he scored, i was delighted for him because he showed so much passion in his celebration, it really meant a lot to him.

He has all the talent in the world, it's just a matter of having the right mentality IMO. I still think he deserves a bit more time before we decide to put him on the market because there is a big chance we could end up regretting it.

I remember reading stuff from Babel himself towards the end of last season where he said he just didn't feel the EPL suited him. He said something like the pace and physicality of the football was too different to the way he had learnt to play. I think it is pretty much a certainty that he will eventually leave.

In all seriousness though, it used be all proper friendly and that, but these days from what i've heard and read from some matchgoers it's a much more volatile atmosphere. There's more hate directed towards each set of supporters.

Ronnyd, i read somewhere Lescott and i think it was Fellaini will miss one of the derby's if they get a card against Hull. That true?

Yeh he's nuts. Although i've heard the deal isn't official until the end of the January transfer window. Waiting to see if he can get some better offers.

FSN said he turned down Dinamo Zagreb and a new contract with PSV though. He's a fair dinkum nutter.

IMO if you are over the age of say... 23 and aren't playing in Europe you shouldn't be getting picked for the national team, that is unless it's for a game against someone shit. If I was playing for a decent team in Europe getting good game time consistently, I wouldn't be looking at the a-league until I was about 32-33.

I cannot believe he would come back here yet. Not his biggest fan but to "allegedly" turn down offers to stay at respectable clubs in respectable leagues over there to play A-League in your 20's is f##king nuts.

This would be all well and good if the guy actually was talented but the bottom line is that he is a horribly puss footballer who has been hiding at the average player safehaven that is PSV. I have never been impressed with the guy. I will admit that he is above the A-league, but that still doesn't mean he is any good.

I think along the same lines Robbie, as I said not a fan of his because he has little that is impressive about him. Sort of guy you can rely on to be solid and not make too many mistakes but certainly won't do anything remarkable for you. I just don't get how he could think its a good idea to come back here when he still has decent options in Europe.

Regardless of whether he is really talented or not, if you are a professional footballer and you are based in Europe in your 20's you would have to be an idiot to move to the a-league surely.
