2017 Line-up

[h=1]Herman Looking For More[/h]
HE has proved he can play in the NRL and now Herman Ese’ese wants to do it every week.
The young front rower began pre-season training with the Broncos this week and looked to have returned in good order.
After signing for Bronco feeder club Souths Logan from the Bulldogs last year and then making his club debut in round eight, Ese’ese came off the bench for Brisbane eight times.
His goal this year is to triple that tally.
“The first thing is to have a good pre-season under your belt - that determines whether you have a good season or not,” he said.
“Secondly I would like to earn a week in and week-out spot in the 17, so that is probably the goal I am working towards.
“Nothing is guaranteed just because there are spots available.
“I'm up against some great players and whoever trains the best and wants it the most will earn the spot.
“But there are some spots available and hopefully I can take one of them.”
Ese’ese was strong in the Intrust Super Cup last year.
One rampaging run against Wynnum where he shrugged off several tacklers showed he is destined for higher things.
“I had a good season for Souths Logan in the Queensland Cup and every time you come up to first grade and go back down it is not much different,” he said.
“It's a high level of intense footy.
“So I think I can step it up next year and play NRL every week.”

IMO the pack for 2017 should look like this:

If we sign Napa for 2017:

8. Blair
9. Macca
10. Napa
11. Thaiday
12. Gillett
13. McGuire

If we don't sign Napa for 2017

8. Blair
9. Macca
10. McGuire
11. Thaiday
12. Gillett
13. Glenn

We have some talented young forwards, but IMO we shouldn't be rushing them. I don't think any of them are ready to be starting in 2017.

Glenn is incredibly under-rated by many on here IMO, I believe he would make an excellent 13.

Sam Thaiday won't be back for several weeks. Eye socket fracture is worse than expected caused by a clash with James Graham during the 4 nations. Graham entered the opposition dressing room, after the game, no doubt to apologize, but Thaiday had already gone to hospital.

*Cheekbone* sorry.

I think it's both eye socket and cheekbone.

Yeah he won't be running much for a while and you can't imagine he'll be confident in tackling either.
