2017 Line-up

My team for round one:

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Kahu
4. Roberts
5. Mead
6. Milford
7. Hunt
8. Sims
9. McCullough
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. McGuire

14. Nikorima
15. Thaiday
16. TPJ
17. Fai

  • I only put McGuire at lock because Bennett has confirmed this will happen
  • I started Glenn over Thaiday because i think Thaiday will give us a but more impact from the bench.
  • I only think Nikorima should be on the bench if he isn't a genuine option for replacing Hunt next season. If he is a genuine option then he should be playing 80 mins at halfback in the ISC developing his game.
  • I liked what i saw from Fai in the WCS. i think he has more potential than Ofa or Ese'ese. but either of those 3 could take the final bench spot

so does punching someone in the head multiple times, which is what lodge did ... not to mention the rest of it.
I deleted that post. Obviously not quickly enough though.

I agree that, both men have proven themselves to be pigs.

I just won't accept the idea that a mam hitting another man is worse or equally as bad as a man glassing a woman.

Wrong

Fairly close to what I would run with...

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Kahu
4. Roberts
5. Mead
6. Milford
7. Nikorima
8. Sims
9. McCullough
10. Blair
11. Thaiday
12. Gillett
13. McGuire

14. Joffa
15. Glenn
16. TPJ
17. Fai

Start the rebuild now, give Nikorima a chance now and go to the market if that fails.

This just doesn't look enough experience on the bench to me.

what about a man hitting another man and terrorizing 3 women and a 9 year old child?
Fair call....
&
Frightening the **** out of people is different to glassing a woman.

Mate, I agree with you. Neither is acceptable.
Both situations are really fucked up...No argument.

I'm just wanting to keep it real.
Lodge clearly has issues & needs help.
&
He didn't glass a woman.
He has not taken a weapon & attacked a "woman"
His own wife ffs

Yeah?

Fair call once again.
Do you have a reply to my previous post?
Is frightening someone = to physically attacking someone?

he did physically attack someone ... then barricades him out of his house and turns his attentions to the guys wife and child, who had to lock themselves in another room to get away from him, but he wasn't done there ... he starts trying to break down the door of the room they were hiding in ... desperately hoping the cops could get there in time

Bird should have been fired and Lodge should be doing community service for a year (should be in jail).

Oh f

Oh ffs.
So, a bloke punching another bloke in the head is the same as a bloke glassing a woman.

maybe you should re-read what Lodge did: and these are just the highlights:

  • Lodge allegedly began asking the women to return to Australia with him and then threatened them by saying, "This is the night you die"
  • The women allegedly ran to their friend Guillaume Roemaet's apartment and when a shirtless, tattooed Roemaet came out to see if he could help, Lodge allegedly said: "You don't scare me. I have tattoos too. I'm going to kill you".
  • Mr Roemaet allegedly pushed the women back into his apartment and locked the door and Lodge forced himself into Mr Cartright's apartment, where his wife Ruth Fowler and nine-year-old son were.
  • Mr Cartright allegedly attempted to cajole Lodge outside their front door and once outside, Ms Fowler closed the door.
Lodge allegedly became "enraged" and "grabbed Mr Cartright, put him in a headlock and repeatedly punched Mr Cartright in the head, landing multiple blows to his left ear and skull".
  • Lodge allegedly ran back into the apartment and shoved furniture behind the door to prevent Mr Cartright from getting in.
  • Ms Fowler grabbed her son and locked themselves in a bathroom, placed her back against the door and used the sink as leverage.
Lodge allegedly was in the kitchen smashing plates and glasses and then attempted to punch his way into the bathroom and "wood splintered around her head and into the bathroom".
  • When eight NYPD officers arrived Lodge allegedly threw a two-litre bottle of wine at them.
