2019 Broncos Line-up

Dearden was an error and it's been fixed, he isn't in the top 25.

Surely Turpin will be in 27-30 that is $72,500. That's appropriate spot for a back up hooker.

According to Turpin's old man he's still at the Broncos, just not in the top 30. Perhaps we're leaving top 30 spots vacant in case of unexpected signings, so Turpin would still be in the top 30 if no other signings are made.

As it stands, assuming Oates, Lodge & Pangai Jr are re-signed, this is probably what we're looking at for the start of the season -

Top 26 -

Bird, Boyd, Carrigan, Fai, Fifita, Gillett, Glenn, Haas, Isaako, Kahu, Lodge, Mago, McCullough, McGuire, Milford, Nikorima, Oates, Ofahengaue, O'Sullivan, Pangai Jr, Roberts, Savelio, Shibasaki, Staggs, Su'A, Turpin

Development 4 -

Dargan, Dearden, Flegler, Taueli

A lot can change though, especially if Glenn and/or Kahu are moved on.

Dargan is likely to sign with Newcastle in the coming weeks.

Dearden, Flegler & Taueli are all in the senior squad.

The development squad will be made up of players like Paix, Boyd, Hetherington etc.

Yeah this is far, FAR away from what the final make up will be in March next year. This is just speculation on my part but I'm thinking we will retain TPJ for 1 year and Oates for 3-4 years, and Lodge who had a desire to return to Sydney anyway will follow Bennett to Souths.

If Cook remains at Souths, that will be a formidable squad with the Burgi and Lodge

New faces

(Players who were not in 30-man squad from 2018) Sean O'Sullivan (Roosters - contracted until end of 2020), Kotoni Staggs, Myles Taueli, Patrick Carrigan, Thomas Flegler.
Unsigned/Losses

(Players who have dropped out of 30-man squad from 2018) Corey Allan (Rabbitohs), Sam Thaiday (retired), Thomas Opacic (Cowboys), Korbin Sims (Dragons), Jonus Pearson (Dragons), Mosese Pangai, Sam Tagataese, Corey Oates, Matt Lodge, Tevita Pangai jnr.

Which ISC team will he be with in 2019?

Dearden? They sit down in the new year and divvy it up based on where you're from and what ISC teams need. But Jets would be favourites.

Wynnum have Scarlett, Norths have Paix and Dargan, Redcliffe have Cullen and Souths have Hamilton and Burns.

I read that Dearden will end up with the Magpies. He'll likely follow a similar path as Fifita, where he'll play out the U/18s season and there will be a push for him to play ISC.

If that's the case, either Burns or Hamilton will transition to fullback.

I wonder what the deal is with Tom's contract? NRL.com seem to be under the impression he's signed a senior deal. Meanwhile the Broncos are quite adamant it hasn't been finalised. Whatever the case is, he's got a profile on the Broncos fan-page and will be training with the senior squad this off-season.

One would have assumed Boyd would have stayed at Souths. Jets will need a halfback now Phillips is gone

Yeah you could make a case for Souths they have a stronger MM team and van dijk would be good for him. But in the Jets favour Phillips is retired so he could have a clearer path to ISC if he's good enough after May and Ben Walker might be good for him too.

Souths have Boyd too so he's going to be around the ISC team.

That would be the common sense approach, but Brisbane seem to have an affinity for Souths Logan.

I'm not sure if Boyd will remain there or if he's been moved to the Gulls or Dolphins.

Lodge is about to sign a multi year deal, so I don't think he's following Bennett.

Dolphins might make sense. I heard they were thinking of moving Bryce Donavan to the centers, so they would need a half to play next to Cullen.

NRL 2019: Tevita Pangai Junior, Corey Oates and Matt Lodge still unsigned by Brisbane Broncos
The star trio was not included on Brisbane's initial 25-man NRL list for 2019.
Written By TROY WHITTAKER
All 16 NRL clubs published their contracted first grade squads for 2019 today as per new transparency rules – and there are some glaring absences in Brisbane's 25-man list.
Broncos stars Tevita Pangai junior, Corey Oates and Matt Lodge's names were nowhere to be seen, despite publicly stating their intentions to stay at Red Hill.
While players whose contracts are not finalised don't appear in the official squads, they can be added to a club's top 30 squad at a later date.
Still, the dragged-out negotiations are less than ideal with Brisbane's pre-season training beginning in a matter of weeks on November 24.
The Broncos maintain they are confident of securing the marquee players' services for next year and beyond.
Of the trio, Oates is the most certain to extend time at the Broncos.
The lanky winger's manager George Mimis last month declared to The Courier Mail that a "new contract for Corey is imminent".
“We’ve had some expressions of interest from the market but at no stage have we entered into negotiations with anyone else because it was always Corey’s desire to remain a Bronco," Mimis added.
“Both parties are keen to continue a successful relationship. Corey’s preference was to always stay at the Broncos.”
But Lodge and Pangai junior's futures at the club are clouded.
Both are extremely close to outgoing Broncos coach Wayne Bennett and may yet follow him to the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Bennett isn't scheduled to arrive at the Rabbitohs until 2020, although a swap with Souths mentor Anthony Seibold remains a possibility for 2019.
It was Bennett who stuck his neck out for Lodge during the prop's controversial return to the NRL this season, with the 23-year-old repeatedly expressing his gratitude to the supercoach.
Sporting News Australia 's The Lurker revealed in September that Bennett's departure could result in Lodge also bidding farewell to the Broncos.
"Wayne put his reputation and everything on the line to have me [at the Broncos]," Lodge said in August.
"I probably wouldn't be playing if it wasn't for someone that had the guts to stand up and give me another chance."
For Pangai junior, a move to the Rabbitohs seems apparent.
Like Lodge, he feels indebted to Bennett given the 68-year-old provided him the opportunity to spark his career.
South Sydney is in the market for a big-name second-rower after Angus Crichton's defection to the Roosters, while veteran John Sutton is nearing the end of his playing days.
It leaves plenty of room for Pangai junior at Redfern in the coming years.
League expert Mark 'MG' Geyer recently declared his belief that the hulking forward is headed to the burrow.
News Limited journalist and Sporting News Australia contributor Brent Read agreed.
“I reckon you’re spot on with Tevita Pangai junior, in 12 months he will be at South Sydney," Read said.
Various reports have described the move as a given.
South Sydney has two spots remaining in its top 30 squad for 2019 but fullback
