2023 State of Origin Discussion

Wasn't he supposed to be out for like 6 months with a shoulder injury at one point and returned after like two weeks? There's something in the water in Penrith these days that puts a little pep(tides) in their step I think.
Well Penrith is the cancer capital of Australia. No relevance at all

No I didn`t notice .
But yes I did see it when Walsh did it and recognised it as a Slater move .
Good coaching I guess ?
I don't think they were similar at all. Walsh lifted his legs while jumping. Slater used to raise his tags into the opposition player. They are very different.

Partially dislocated his shoulder, he would have been out for 6 months if he got surgery. He left the surgery for the off-season and continued playing with the injury. One of those injuries you can continue playing with.

Excellent coaching I'd say and hopefully it's something he can now build on and become confident with defusing bombs.

Cleary will play. It's probably not as bad as they are saying and will make him out to be some miracle man.
Hammy strains are usually 2 weeks when it's just a twinge.

When it comes to actual tears I think NRL physio goes with
Grade 1 2-4 weeks
Grade 2 4-6 weeks
Grade 3 8-12 weeks

If he's out for up to 6 weeks, then it sounds like a Grade 2 🤔🤔

Panthers will also want to be conservative with it to avoid reinjurying

Watch it again coach .
He kicked Frizell in the chest with his tags . Then da Fox hit Reece in the head with his fore arm grubbery .

Bent knee, side of the boot making contact, tags do make contact but with the arm that shouldn’t be hitting Walsh at all. Bent knees indicate jumping motion.

Leg straightening toward player, tags up toward defender who is nowhere near him.

Very fucking different

Nsw best option is
6. Moses
7. Reynolds
Moses has best long kicking game while Reynolds best short kicking game. Also Moses will be freed up an be dangerous runner.

Definitely a tear and the higher up the worse it is.
He is no chance of playing origin IMO.
The mind **** going on with Freddy and Alexander just went to unprecedented levels even for them.
The Penrith connection they based their selection on just fell apart and was always their weakness because it centred around 1 player.
Cody is being put forward by a lot of people but he is suspect in big games and NSW don't run the same plays as Souffs. I wouldn't be surprised if they go ( unlikely I know) Reyno , Cody, Latrell, Graham, Cook, Kloamatangi based on their previous logic of combinations.
What they should do is Nico in with Latrell and maybe Koloamatangi for Young.
The next 2 weeks of bitching and in fighting among journos and ex players will be beautiful.

Can someone look out the opinion pieces that druggy Johns wrote about Cleary over the last few weeks and how he was just on the cusp of greatness, that this year he was playing so well that games were 'slowing down' for him and he was able to see 2 -3 plays ahead.

Just send it to Matty. He'll get so much millage from it 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Sure looks like the leg is straight and studs are showing.

It's something Walsh needs to avoid doing because it's going to backfire on him at some point.

Yeah what an idiot Joey is. He doesn't even know that people can get injured. What a tool.
