This Green story worries me, especially with Locky praising him in the courier mail. He had pretty much lost the Cowboys players last year and just did some very odd things up there. 3 years ago i would probably have been happy with him, but he seems to have lost his way.

How long ago was it when he allegedly got on the turps and had a barney with Michael Morgan?

A lot of the players were actually brought in under Wayne during his previous stint at the club, the few exceptions were under Henjak. Boyd, Hodges, Hunt, Blair, McCullough, Thaiday, Glenn, Parker, Dodds, McGuire, Maranta were all brought to the club under Wayne. Oates, Reed, Kahu, Gillett, Nikorima, J. Wallace were under Henjak. Hook didn't build the roster up and he nearly stuffed it waiting so long to give Hunt his opportunity at 7.

Bennett was opportunistic, the side was definitely better situated in 2015 than what it was in 2012 but that was merely down to getting games into the players.

Penrith were well poised in 2016 after a horrific year with injury. A lot of their juniors were coming of age around that time, but even then Penrith were constantly rebuilding. It's only after they copped a crap season they've been able to move forward.

Maybe but you can’t say Henjak found them or whatever and Bennet was opportunistic and discredit the guy in the middle. Hook stuffed up almost with Hunt for sure but Bennett stuffed up for sure with Milford.

Every chic gets some things right and some wrong but Holm showed at Penrith he had learned at the Broncos. He wasn’t fattening them up there for a start. He is good at getting a side in the right direction, the Broncs need that now for sure!

Same things were said about Madge and now people are rueing the day we missed out on him too. Kevie has an average resumè. Really there are about 3 coaches you’d give ya left nut to have Belly, Robbo, day light, and Arthurs. But none of them are realistic. So what do you do.

It’s the same issue that we’ve had with our halves for 9 years. What we have needs to go but the only good options are off the table and so we either stick with what we have, replace them with a rookie and hope they work out, or accept mediocre track records and hope that a new club brings out the best in them.

I dont know what Madge ( who i'm not a massive fan of anyway tbh ) or any of the other coaches were doing that were a bit odd, but some of the things i heard about Green were just bizarre. If he can look back and see mistakes he made, he could be a good option. I'm not sure we should take the risk, but we probably will.

If Seibold is sacked, the first person the Broncos should be on the phone to is Flanagan.

The NRL are notorious for being soft ***** so I'm sure we could get him.

**** yes but apparently not available until 2022. I suggested this several weeks ago but as usual had to brace for impact.

I was mostly referring to losing the playing group through his personality. Though Crowe scared off the best 5/8 in the game over some loony drunk shit during Madge’s time right?

What things have been rumoured about Green?

I can when it comes to building a roster, just about every player Hook brought in was shown the door straight after.

He stuck solid with a core roster, most of which had been around when Bennett was coaching. He didn't arrange to cut the roster, that was Henjak and he paid the price despite getting them to turn a corner before Lockyer got injured.

This team needs to get out of the doldrums, not twiddle it's thumbs for the next 3 years.

Penrith were already on their way. Ivan came into break the team down and start fresh with their new crop of juniors who began to come through their system in 2014. When that process was complete and Gould felt he used Ivan up for everything he was worth so he brought in the next coach, Hook because he was using the Broncos development system as a basis for the Panthers operation.

However, Gus learned the hard way that Griffin was a limited coach and that the club would be in a constant state of rebuilding. They were loading Griffin up with talent, who would use them up and they'd have to shift them off to Cronulla and the Gold Coast because they weren't getting any better at Penrith.

Sure their record wasn't THAT bad, but a lot of their wins were incredibly unconvincing. So often they wouldn't come into the game until they were down more than two converted tries and they couldn't afford that against the top teams.

They're soft ***** for their favoured teams but that doesn't mean shit for the Broncos - look at the way the Roosters get treated at the judiciary compared to us. Hiring a coach who needs to shoot up his players with bullshark testosterone and seven flavours of human growth hormones before cheating the cap and coaching the team while banned probably wouldn't end up quite as well for us.

Mmmmm, colourful rewriting of history!!! In your world a coach holds the syringe, has sole control of the clubs finances and works from home ha ha. Good one!!

I'd take him in a heartbeat, **** I'd take him even if he was an ex-used car salesman with a thriving legal practice!!!
