Australia vs India - Test Series

No Clarke?
Was decent before he became a selector.

Seriously though, he one of my favourite players to watch when he first burst onto the scene. It is sad that his back issues got the better of him.

Clarke's ego ruined any chance of being considered a great. He should have walked away after the world cup win. If he hadn't gone on that final Ashes tour his test average would be 50+ and I'd be putting him in the conversation.

His very best though was as good as it gets. In terms of pure skill on their best day, he's in the mix.

If you were picking an all time Aus 11, he probably wouldn't make it though, to be fair.

Absolutely. I still vividly remember that 6/9 v India with the ball too.

Many will point to that 329* v India as his greatest ever knock but for me it's the ton v RSA when we regained #1 test ranking. Going into that series everyone knew his back was destroyed. Surviving that hostile chin music from Morkel, Steyn and Philander at the start of his innings goes down as one of the most remarkable feats I have seen on a cricket pitch.

Edit: I'll add the bloke could definitely play spin. One of the very best against spin.

The knock against India just had so much emotion behind it. Will always be his defining moment. Also because of Ponting.

To begin with I thought Smith was just Clarke jr, but he has well and truly surpassed him.

Warner pulled his groin, bro.

Kohli gone and it's probably all over.

If Warner is done for the Test Matches that'll make things interesting. I wouldn't say a Burns & Pucovski opening pair fills me with supreme confidence.

Credit where it's due, Henriques actually bowling well.

Wish Starc could take some tips and learn some variation himself. Got a feeling his career will fizzle out in the next year or two.

I rate Jacques Kallis as the best all-around cricketer I've ever seen.

I always have an impossible time splitting the greatest batsmen of all time, there's so many in that upper echelon that it's impossible to separate.

The early 20th century legends - Hobbs, Hammond, Bradman
The mid-late 20th century legends - Sobers, Pollock, Chappell, Gavaskar, Richards, Border, Miandad
The turn of the century legends - Tendulkar, Lara, Kallis, Sangakkara, Ponting, Dravid, Khan, Yousuf, Chanderpaul, Hussey, Hayden, Waugh
The modern day guns - Smith, Kohli, Williamson

Good luck picking a top 3 out of that bunch.
Gilchrist needs to be in there somewhere on his day like hayden could take the chance of winning a game away from the opposition.

Yeah, funny how he’d get called pretty boy etc when he was really a gutsy guy.

There was another hundred he hit in SA where he killed it from ball one while everyone else failed. Think he got well over 50% of the innings runs and was on another planet.

Kohli gone - Moises looks like Tobias! Great catch.

Australia too good.

Thanks India - boring as.

There actually hasn't been anyone bowled yet in this series

Green out of the squad, will get a run on Saturday.
