Australia vs India - Test Series

These groundsmen are getting a good work out.

Any word on when we might actually get to watch some cricket ?

I wouldn’t expect too much more action today given the rain radar.. blobs of showers just blowing in off the ocean one after the other

Yeah bucketing down again.

Looks like the rain has let up a bit.

Well this is quality entertainment, sun is out and we are watching two guys with blower vacs.

Commentary bagging them and umpires out is pretty good.

Pucovski looks like he falls over when balls are down leg

He has beautiful balance and picks up the line/length of the ball. Bulls bowlers said after his 180 he had his eye very early.

Like I said last week a few Shield teams put two out to get him hooking and he’s been caught.

He will pick up Ashwin early.

I hate it when commentators talk about a slow run rate like they were suggesting with Marnus just now, mainly Australian and I'm surprised Kerry talked about it.

When a batsman has a good innings they talk about waiting for a bowler to bowl where they want it.... so leaving the ball on 5th or 6th stump is 100% what they should be doing.

Also Bumrah doesn't bowl bad balls so the best bet is to try and see him off for minimal damage and make your runs against the other bowlers.

The commentators already fucked up Renshaw's career by bombarding him with comments that he has to develop an offside game. He's now become a knicker that no longer knows where his off stump is.

If a test batsman is waiting for bad balls or likes to score on the leg side leave them fucking be!!

@BroncsFan yeah and at the same time they can’t stop banging on about how good Pujara is and how he grinds bowlers down. They were brutal on Renshaw when he was doing exactly what you want from an opener.

All that said, Australia needs to be careful here, they are starting to fall into the trap of not scoring again and this is when they usually lose wickets in clumps to India. They need to try and stick around 3 an over.

It's hard when they're bowling well though.

They clog up the leg side field and bowl on the pads or bowl a length ball on 5/6th stump. Half volleys have been put away, but the rank boundary ball is only really coming every 4th or 5th over instead of 1 ball every over that you can wait on

Ashwin is bowling on middle/leg with leg side bat pad, leg slip and a man on the 45.

They want our batsmen to take a risk when in reality we just have to wear down the new ball, wait for the bowlers to get tired and capitalise on the loose balls that will come.

The other thing is Ashwin is bowling much much better than he did in previous series. We used to get after Ashwin and make our runs off him because he looked for side spin and got nothing
