Australia vs India - Test Series

Cheating fucking ****... claims a catch that clearly hits the ground.

What a fucking little cheat... should be massively fined or suspended

It's hard when they're bowling well though.

They clog up the leg side field and bowl on the pads or bowl a length ball on 5/6th stump. Half volleys have been put away, but the rank boundary ball is only really coming every 4th or 5th over instead of 1 ball every over that you can wait on

Ashwin is bowling on middle/leg with leg side bat pad, leg slip and a man on the 45.

They want our batsmen to take a risk when in reality we just have to wear down the new ball, wait for the bowlers to get tired and capitalise on the loose balls that will come.

The other thing is Ashwin is bowling much much better than he did in previous series. We used to get after Ashwin and make our runs off him because he looked for side spin and got nothing

The other option is to change stance and open up the offside.

Yeah that is pretty grubby and ordinary, imagine the carry on if Paine did that.

Geez fellas, it's not like he got up and jumped up and down in celebration. Bit harsh.

There was a clear gap between the gloves on the ground, he would have likely known he didn't catch it, shouldn't have even slightly claimed it.

But that said, I don't have a huge problem with it but again, imagine the carry on if Paine got up sort of claiming that.

Well done Will! He got there with a couple of live but he got there nonetheless! Only the third 50 for Australia this series and it was also rain interrupted. Well done lad!

I give him the benefit of the doubt, The talk of a fine or some such was a bit much for mine.

Anyway, great session for Australia. Pucovski and Lasagne could be an excellent pair going forward.

Nah the soft signal on the field was out, which means he claimed the catch.

He didn't even give a shrug or an I don't know.

If he had claimed "I dont know" then there would be no issue, but instead he took the accolades and forced the 3rd umpire to overturn it... it's a dog act to claim an illegal catch

He might have thought he caught it or was more certain that he caught it than not. He didn't even get up celebrating, he just threw the ball back. The other fellas came over celebrating. Nothing in it.

It's a 50/50 catch at best if comes at it correctly, but he came at it with his hands coming down on the ball... he knew he very very likely didn't catch it and then didn't say anything.

He was happy for the 3rd umpire to overturn it instead of saying something. At no point did I see him indicate to the umpire that he wasn't sure. I also didn't see him turn down those high fives or let his team mates know that he wasn't sure.

But I've had my say and I think it's dog act and should be punished with at least a fine. As I said if he at least had indicated that he wasnt sure then I would be fine, but he did nothing and was happy forcing the 3rd ump to overturn it, thus putting the initial decision and benefit as 'out'

With the amount of technology used nowadays and needing the umpire to overturn on clear evidence I think the ICC should be trying to deter inappropriate appeals, such as claiming illegal catches.
