Australian Summer Of Cricket '08/'09

Mike Hussey has been absolute crap this summer I think he needs a break..... As you guys have said the middle order for the Aussies has been crap in the one day series. They are missing Roy and Pup though..

This is pretty bloody crap and frustrating. Just going along with the norm of the summer I spose - Aussies getting into a dominating position and then unravelling in stupid, sloppy and just plain dumb fashion. Coupled with improved Saffa bowling of course, but still, no team these days has as many batsmen throw away their wickets on such a consistent basis as Australia. In any form of the game.

Pup held us together in the Tests and now he's missing we've really noticed it.

Hopefully the QLDer can do something for us, give us some Hopes.

Chucky's off now. 3/32 off his 10 overs. Not good (from us).

The middle orders problem is that they tr to glide the ball rather than belting it over the fence.. Hussey got bowled by a full toss when he was trying to glide the ball.. What a toss that ball should have been hit for six.

Exactly Beads. And there just isn't the right urgency in the running towards the end either, the Saffa middle-order put so much more pressure on our blokes then the other way around. Infact I felt like screaming at TV in the last two games watching Ponting let them knock singles around at will.

And when our lot do go hard at the ball, the majority of the time they're picking out the fielders.

Thankfully chasing is generally difficult at the SCG, so a 260-280 score may end up being enough in the end.

I think we are seriously missing Clarke and Symonds though. There replacements are talented players but they aren't showing the urgency that they should.

Couldn't even see out 50. Dissapointing in such a crucial game.

Although even with the underwhelming score the Saffas will need to set a record for a successful chase at the SCG. Wouldn't be the first this summer they've done something like that though.

Dopes has a chance to shine tonight if things slow up. We need to get them under the pump early again, just worried about when Gibbs might find some form though.

Agreed.

WTF was Tait doing not running then? That was disgusting, however he is a number 11 so poor running between the wickets is a certainty with them!

3rd ball of the innings dropped.

bloody Ponting WTF you don't drop catches your from Australia

2 drops in the first over. Mother****ers...

bloody hopeless.. I really don't rate Dussey that highly I think he is very poor.

Gibbs starting to cash in now. Saffas off to a pretty good start going at a run a ball, hopefully they'll die in the arse against the older rock.

Too easy now. Gibbs has found his mojo. 50 off 36 and making Tait look like an ordinary grade cricketer. That first over is hurting.

Once again the 1s are coming at will.

But finally we take a catch. Unfortunately, it seems way too late now IMO. Only a good old fashion Saffa choke will save us now.
