Unlucky for us that M Morkel is playing instead of the useless jaarsveld.

2 down in 2 overs and into the Hussey's already. No excuses today for the middle order. Boundaries are coming at will but so are the wickets at the moment.

The Aussies have lost the plot I am afraid. It is time for a major clean out of selectors and players if we are to continue winning more than we lose. The 2009 Ashes aren't looking to good IMO.

Cameron White cannot remain in the team

This is what I would go with

Warner
Marsh
Ponting
Clarke
Mussey
Dussey
Haddin
Johnston
Hilfy
Bracken
Tate/Huaritz/?

I'd get rid of the Hussey brothers they are not performing.. Mick just needs a break for a few games whilst dave needs to stick to state cricket. Haddin played a crap shot but thats how he plays I think he should be at number 4...

Absolutely re: the selectors. They are absolutely rubbish, probably brought on by a decade of Aussie teams picking themselves.

Who are they? Merv, Hilditch and Boony? Any bloody wonder we have problems.

Meanwhile, this middle order blows.

I really think M. Hussey needs to take a good long hard look at himself.. He has had a worse summer than Haydos yet seems to be the love child of Ponting and his merry selectors.. Far too many favourties in and around the Australian cricket team..

Certainly can't find any way of disagreeing with that Beads. Who would you bring in Huss? I think part of the problem may be the position he's batting. Needs to be at 5/6 for me.

That is the problem there isn't much to choose from. Marcus North, Michael Klinger, Phillip Hughes, Lee Carseldine anybody who will show some application and get the job done. The stocks are quite low so maybe that is why Hussey is still in the side.

White the great allrounder is gone. We may struggle to see out 50. And the way things are going we'll be using the PP with Hilfy and Tait at the crease.

Only Marsh, Warner and Ponting are worth having in the Aussies side at the moment.... Surely the White experiment has to end he just doesn't cut it.. I am happy for him to be a 20/20 specialist though..

I would start with the selectors and then get rid of the Hussey's, Tait (I don't want a guy who can't string more than 12 balls effectively in a spell) and White at the very least.

All gone for 222. Once again, simply not good enough after another decent start. Heads need to start rolling, even if the bowlers can somehow pull something other than shit out of their arses tonight. Really hope Tait can get it right, otherwise it could all be over quickly.
