Australian summer of cricket 2009-10

Once again Test cricket shows why it's the best and most enthralling type of cricket. Twenty20 can go **** itself.

20/20 Is good because its a short sharp injection at night of the game, but what we all saw today was cricket at its pinnacle. A 5 day game where the game swung violently until its dramatic finish, no other sport except maybe four round golf tournaments (if that's your thing) or the tour de france can offer the viewer so many twists and turns to a sometimes unlikely outcome.

Test Cricket FTW!

No, but it's an understandable suspicion given their history. Especially matches like this where they really had the game won on several occasions.

BTW: I don't believe they threw the match or anything of the sort. They're simply a young team that is starved of Test cricket and has limited experience in winning matches.

But with the likes of Mohammad Aamer coming through they will click into action soon enough. I look forward to the return series between Australia and Pakistan in England this year.

This win will gloss over the fact that Ponting is still a shit captain and his star is fading, North and Haddins batting is woeful and expose the tail too early.

Depending on Katich's fitness chuck Hughes in at No. 6 instead of North

He's a better captain than you. I've never had a problem with him. He now throws me the ball from the get go and always calls me by my nickname. I feel like he values me so much. He might even love me. He sure does a hair-ruffle-up job which has to be seen to be believed.

I also rate him as a batsman too. He always does a great job of stroking my balls at training.

I know their history very well, but to be honest, the Pakistani players are sick of being labelled as cheats every time they lose a game.

Especially when Aus are paying $8 on the morning of the 4th day and the captain inexplicably keeps the field out!

Speaking of Test Cricket being awesome, did anyone see the highlights of the test between England and South Africa? Bloody hell what a tense match it was! Graham Smith had 8 fielders around the batsman for a while!!! In the end the Poms held on for the draw with Graham Onions surviving the last over!

A good rear guard action by the English to save the test match (the second of the series) which should lead to a interesting last test. icon_thumbs_u

Shows we dont do it enough as we get caught in the act! [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.

I see the Pakistani catching has not improved since the last test. [eusa_doh

Bob Woolmer would never have had any of this dropped catches stuff.

He'd have a heart attack if he saw this fielding performance.

Too far?
